Thank you for sharing your unspoken request for your family. We are praying for you and we take seriously the privilege of bringing your needs before the Lord even when the details remain between you and Him.
God knows fully what is unspoken. You do not need many words or a long prayer to be heard, and you do not need to inform Him of what He already knows. The prayers recorded in Scripture are often very short. What matters is earnestness and faith from the heart. Scripture says the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much, and it gives the example of Elijah to show how God answers sincere prayer. We are joining with you in agreement, believing the promise that when two or three agree on earth concerning anything, it shall be done by the Father.
We are also asking that God will be glorified in how He answers. Prayer is not a means to get our own wishes fulfilled, but a way to see His will accomplished on earth as it is in heaven. It begins with relationship with Him as Father through Jesus Christ. Apart from that relationship prayer has no foundation, and the one prayer He desires from anyone outside that relationship is, God be merciful to me a sinner. Through Christ we are given access to come as children to a Father who loves to give to His children, both for physical and spiritual needs. True prayer often begins with God Himself, as He places His desires and purposes on our hearts, and we then bring them back to Him in worship, in petition for our own needs, and in intercession for others.
In that pattern we first worship Him as the Creator of the heavens and the earth, then we seek His kingdom and His will, and then we bring our personal needs to Him. We are bringing your family before Him in that way, interceding beyond our own needs for yours. We are praying that He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus, that He will give wisdom, strength, provision and peace, and that He will work in your family in a way that accomplishes His good will and brings joy as you see His hand at work.
More is wrought through prayer than we will ever know, and those who give themselves to prayer are those God uses for His glory. Be encouraged that you are not praying alone. We are holding you and your family up before the Father in Jesus name, trusting Him to do what He has desired to do as you consent to His will and rest in His care.
