Unspoken needs

Thank you for trusting us with your unspoken request for your family. God knows fully what you cannot put into words, and He hears when you call upon Him in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father.

We join you in prayer to the God who created us when we were not, who breathed a living soul into us, who made all things for our good and crowned us with glory and honor. He knows your family by name, He sees every need, every burden and every hope you carry, and nothing is hidden from Him.

We pray that He will show His mercy to you and your household as a merciful Father who feeds and clothes all and lets no one perish who trusts in Him. We ask Him to provide what is needed for health and daily life, to give wisdom and strength for each decision, to guard your home in peace, and to draw each member of your family closer to Himself. May He help you to honor Him not only with words but with works and deeds, and to spend your greatest care on spiritual things while He supplies what is needed for the body.

We pray that He will keep you from what harms the soul and lead you into what gives life, that He will comfort you in this time of waiting, and that you will see His good hand at work according to His perfect will. We commit your unspoken needs into His loving care, trusting that He who has done such great good for us from the beginning will continue to do good for you.

In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.

Your unspoken request has been heard and we are joining together with you in prayer for your family. God knows the details even when they are not spoken to us, and nothing in your heart is hidden from Him.

Prayer is communion with God as Father, and that relationship is opened only through Jesus Christ. If you are His child, you can come to Him as Father with confidence. If you have not yet come to Him that way, the first prayer He desires is simply, God be merciful to me, a sinner, and through faith in Christ that relationship is established and every other prayer finds its place.

We do not pray to inform God of what He does not know, nor to try to make our own wishes come to pass. True prayer begins with God. He makes His will and His purposes known to our hearts, and we echo them back to Him. That is why Jesus gave a model for prayer that begins with worship, hallowed be Your name, and with submission to His kingdom and His will before we bring our own petitions. It is right and good to bring your personal needs and the needs of your family to Him, but the first desire of prayer is that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

You do not need a long or eloquent prayer for it to be heard. The prayers recorded in Scripture are often very short. What matters is not length or repetition or impressive words, but earnestness and faith from the heart. Scripture teaches that the earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results, and that when two or three agree on earth concerning anything they ask, it will be done. For that reason we are agreeing with you now, bringing your unspoken family needs before the Father in the name of Jesus.

Prayer also includes thanksgiving. Even as we ask, we thank Him because He is our Creator who made heaven and earth, because He cares for families and calls us to care for our own, and because He is willing to give both for our spiritual and physical needs. There is deep joy in spending time with the Father and in watching Him work in answer to prayer.

May the Lord lift your family in His care according to His perfect will. May He provide for every need, guard your home in His peace, draw each heart closer to Himself, and give you wisdom and strength for each day. We trust Him to do what is best, to accomplish His purposes in your family, and to answer in the way that brings Him glory. We thank Him now that He hears this prayer and that He is faithful to act for your good.

In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
