Amusements, Good and Bad

We join with you today and bring your seven unspoken requests before our heavenly Father together in Jesus' name. Though they are unspoken to us, they are fully known to Him, for He searches our hearts and knows our every need before we even speak it. We take comfort that the Spirit Himself intercedes for us according to the will of God as it says in Romans 8:26-27, and that we are invited to cast all our cares upon Him because He cares for us in 1 Peter 5:7.

We also lift up your spouse before the Lord and thank God for your marriage. We honor marriage as God ordained it, a lifelong covenant as described in Genesis 2:24 and Mark 10:9, and we pray God will strengthen and guard your union in this time of illness and concern. We ask for His healing hand, His comfort, and His peace to rest upon your spouse and upon you as you care for one another.

We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, thanking You that we have access to Your throne of grace through Him alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved and by which we approach You as taught in John 14:6 and Acts 4:12. Lord, You know each of these seven unspoken requests intimately, every detail, every burden, every hope. We ask that You would answer each one according to Your perfect will, Your wisdom, and Your mercy. Where there is anxiety, grant Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus as promised in Philippians 4:6-7. Where there is need, provide according to Your riches in glory. Where there is waiting, grant patience and faith to trust Your timing.

We also lay our hands in prayer upon this dear spouse who is ill. Lord, You are our healer, and You hear the cry of the righteous as we read in Psalm 34:17-18. We ask that You would touch their body, ease their suffering, restore strength, and bring healing if it is Your will. We claim the promise that the prayer of faith will heal the sick in James 5:15 and that by Your wounds we are healed in Isaiah 53:5. Give wisdom to any doctors or caregivers, give rest and renewed health, and let Your presence be felt as comfort and hope in the home. Draw you both closer to each other and closer to Christ through this trial.

We encourage you to continue to bring everything to Him in prayer, to remain in His Word, and to trust that He is working all things together for good for those who love Him in Romans 8:28. He is near to the brokenhearted and will sustain you day by day. We stand with you, believing God hears and will answer in His perfect way and time, and we continue to seek His will with you in Jesus' name, amen.

We are holding your seven unspoken requests before the Lord with you today, and we are also praying for your spouse in this illness. Carrying that many burdens at once, especially when someone you love is not well, can feel heavy and tiring, and we want you to know you are not carrying them alone.

God knows each of those seven matters by name even when you do not share the details here, and He knows your spouse and what this sickness is taking out of both of you. It is understandable to feel helpless or worn down when illness lingers in the home, it often disrupts sleep and daily rhythms for the whole family and leaves the one caring feeling stretched thin.

It may help in the days ahead to bring each request to God simply by name as you are able, without pressure to find perfect words, and to make sure your spouse is getting steady medical care and follow up, with prayer alongside that care. If you can, let a trusted friend or pastor know you are in a demanding stretch so you have some practical support too.

Father, we lift these seven unspoken needs to You, You see each one clearly. We ask for Your mercy and help for this spouse, for easing of illness, for wisdom for any doctors involved, and for strength and peace for both of them day by day. We trust them into Your caring hands in Jesus name, amen.

We have heard your request and we do take it up before the Lord with you, for there are burdens which may be shared and which should be shared, as the apostle says, Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

You speak of seven unspoken requests. Though they are unspoken to us, they are all known to Him who searches the heart. There is comfort in this, that the least thing about Christ is healing, and His leaves are for the healing of the nations. He who sees in secret will hear each petition you cannot now utter, and He will do as seemeth Him good, for His wisdom is as great as His mercy. We will bear this burden with you in prayer, asking that the Lord will grant you grace to bear your own burden in faith, while we help you to carry it to the throne.

And for your spouse who is ill, we entreat the Great Physician. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek a physician, and we have such a one in Jesus Christ, who is able to heal and who has shown that pardon and healing are in happy conjunction. When He dwells with His people, the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings. We pray that He will lay His hand upon your beloved spouse, that He will lift up as He lifted Peter's wife's mother from her fever, and restore to health and strength according to His perfect will. The husband's love to his spouse is to reflect Christ's love to His Church, special and tender, and we pray that the Lord will sustain you both in this trial, knitting your hearts together in prayer and in patience.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, Thou knowest the seven cries which Thy child dare not yet speak aloud. Thou knowest every burden, every fear, every need. We ask Thee to answer according to Thy riches in glory by Christ Jesus, giving wisdom, provision, peace, and deliverance as each case requires, and above all drawing this soul nearer to Thyself. And we beseech Thee for the spouse who is sick. Thou healest the broken in heart and bindest up their wounds, Thou healest also the body. If it be Thy will, command this sickness to depart, and grant renewed health. If Thou ordainest a longer affliction, grant sustaining grace, patience in suffering, and the joy of Thy presence by the bedside. Forgive sin, heal infirmity, and make both husband and wife to know more deeply the love of Christ, who loved His spouse and gave Himself for her. All this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our healing and our pardon. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in prayer today for the seven unspoken requests you carry and for your spouse who is ill. God knows each of those requests fully even when they remain unspoken before men, and He invites us to bring everything before Him with thanksgiving.

We pray that the Lord will meet each of those seven needs according to His wisdom and mercy, that He will grant you peace that guards your heart, strength to remain steadfast and not become dull in hearing or weary in hope, and faith to continue searching the Scriptures and waiting upon Him. Even when answers are not yet seen, the time spent in prayer and in hearing His word is never without fruit.

We also lift up your spouse to the Lord, asking for His healing hand and sustaining grace. We ask that God would ease this illness, restore strength and health according to His perfect will, and comfort you both with His presence. May He give wisdom to any who provide care and give you both rest and assurance in His love.

Let us pray together. Father, we thank You that You know every burden before we speak it. We bring these seven unspoken requests before Your throne and ask You to work in each one for good and for Your glory. We bring this dear spouse before You who is suffering from illness and ask for Your mercy, for relief from sickness, for renewed health, and for Your peace to rest upon this home. Help them to keep trusting You, to keep praying, and to keep giving thanks in all things through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
