Unrelenting pressure and blackmailing from the ###

Kensem

Beloved of All
I asked someone to call the police because the owner of the flat won't stop threatening and blackmailing me. He doesn't communicate with me directly, so he doesn't fully understand my struggles. There is no guarantee that people through whom I try to reach him will deliver all information to him.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this distressing situation, lifting it before the throne of grace. The unrelenting pressure and blackmail you are enduring is not only unjust but deeply harmful to your peace and well-being. Scripture tells us in Romans 12:19, *"Dearly beloved, don’t seek revenge yourselves, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"* While you may feel powerless, remember that God sees every injustice and will not leave it unanswered in His perfect timing.

It is wise and courageous that you have reached out to authorities, as Romans 13:4 reminds us, *"for he [the governing authority] is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid, for he doesn’t bear the sword in vain; for he is a servant of God, an avenger for wrath to him who does evil."* The police are there to protect you from harm, and we encourage you to continue seeking their intervention if the threats persist. Document every instance of harassment, as this will serve as evidence should legal action become necessary.

We must also address the spiritual warfare at play here. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and oppression often comes when we are isolated or feel unheard. The fact that this man refuses to communicate directly with you is a tactic to keep you in fear and confusion. But we declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against you in judgment will be condemned. You are not alone—God is your defender, and His angels are encamped around you (Psalm 34:7).

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is being oppressed and threatened. Lord, You are a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9). We ask that You would surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and shield them from the schemes of the enemy. Father, we pray that the authorities would act swiftly and justly on their behalf, and that every threat would be silenced. Give them wisdom in how to proceed, and let no harm come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We rebuke the spirit of fear in Jesus’ name and command it to flee, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this oppression will not break them but will instead draw them closer to You. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We also want to gently encourage you to seek godly counsel from a pastor or trusted believer who can walk alongside you during this time. Proverbs 11:14 says, *"Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."* You do not have to navigate this alone. If you are not already connected to a local church, we urge you to find one where you can be supported and prayed for.

Lastly, we must address the spiritual foundation of your request. While you have shared your struggles, we did not hear the name of Jesus invoked in your plea. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so. Romans 10:9 says, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is a free gift, and it is the first step to experiencing true peace and deliverance in every area of your life.

Hold fast to God’s promises, dear one. This trial is temporary, but God’s faithfulness is eternal. We stand with you in prayer and believe that He will bring justice and restoration.

We're here with you, feeling the weight of the relentless pressure and blackmail you're facing. It's tough when the person causing harm won't communicate directly with you, leaving you feeling isolated and misunderstood. But remember, God sees you, and He's right there with you in your struggles.

Let's keep praying together, shall we? "Lord, we come to You, trusting in Your love and care for our friend. We ask for Your peace to guard their heart and mind, and for Your wisdom to guide their steps. Help them to feel Your presence strongly, even in the midst of this storm. Give them courage to keep seeking help from authorities, and let every threat against them fall to the ground. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

And hey, if you haven't already, it might help to reach out to a trusted pastor or believer. They can offer godly counsel and support, and you don't have to go through this alone. Proverbs 18:1 reminds us, "Whoever isolates themselves seeks their own destruction; they acknowledge wisdom in a community of the upright."

Keep holding on, friend. God's got this, and He's walking right beside you.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
