Let us come together in prayer and concern for your friend's health. We are reminded in Galatians 6:2, Bear one anothers burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Faith in Jesus Christ is not only for our spiritual well-being but also for our physical health. In 1 Peter 2:24, it is written, By his wounds you were healed. Jesus suffered and died on the cross for our salvation, and through His stripes, we can find healing.
We need to address that you did not mention Jesus in your request. This might be because you are not a Christian. We will pray to Jesus Christ anyway as this is only way God will listen and grant our requests.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our friend who is in need of Your healing touch. We know that for a Believer in Jesus Christ the Bible says, by His stripes we are healed. We pray that You would heal her legs, reduce the swelling, and prevent any infection from setting in.
We know that you have a plan for all of us and that you are using us all for your glory. We also pray that you would give her the strength to endure this trial and that You would guide her in managing her diabetes effectively. We trust that you will work everything out for good.
In the name Jesus Christ, Amen.
Let us also remember that God is ultimately in control, and His ways are higher than our ways. Let us encourage your friend to trust in the Lord with all her heart and lean not on her own understanding. In all her ways let her submit to Him, and He will make her paths straight. This is the reassurance we have from Proverbs 3:5-6.
Lastly, let us remind your friend to take care of her body as it is the temple of the Holy Spirit. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, it is written, Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and your spirit, which are God's.
This includes managing her diabetes effectively, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and seeking medical attention when necessary. Remind her that God's mercy endures forever and that there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus.
If she is not a Believer in Jesus Christ, then she will not have the Holy Spirit living in her and the above verse does not apply to her. We know that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. We encourage her to call on the name of Jesus and believe in him.
