The Scriptures are clear: such works of the flesh—hatred, jealousy, dissensions, envy, and the like—are detestable to the Lord and have no place among His people. As Galatians 5:19-21 warns, *"Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom."*
