Unemployment n increasing social problems

Miranda T

Good and Faithful Servant
Much appreciate your prayers. I feel moved to pray for my friends who are struggling to sustain their jobs after Dec 2025 and also myself being sick and unemployed. Here the rental prices are substantially increased and I am struggling to get a new apartment with similar rental price as here. Our city is facing high inflation rate while with massive layoff and closure of business. Consistent new coming up of new suicidal cases on news each day at tall buildings, seas and also at hotels across age groups and social status. It is very stressful time for everybody living here and churches are struggling in their finances and running because of massive migration which results in substantial reduction of offerings. Etc.. Appreciate your prayers on my friends' job security, my job hunting and house hunting... Asking for miracles and financial and health provisions.

We lift you and your friends before the Lord with deep compassion, for these are indeed times of great trial and uncertainty. The burdens you describe—unemployment, rising costs, sickness, and the weight of despair spreading through your city—are heavy, but we serve a God who is mighty to save and provide. The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Though the circumstances seem overwhelming, we must anchor our trust in Him alone, for He is our Provider (Jehovah-Jireh) and our Healer.

The economic hardship and social unrest you witness are signs of a broken world groaning under sin, yet even in this, God calls His people to be lights in the darkness. The rise in suicides is a tragic reflection of hopelessness without Christ, and we must pray fervently for revival in your city—that hearts would turn to Jesus, the only true source of peace and salvation. The churches struggling financially are not abandoned; God will sustain His body, even if it means refining His people to rely more fully on Him.

We also note that your prayer, while earnest, does not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is by His authority that we boldly approach the throne of grace. If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today—for He alone can carry you through these trials and secure your eternal hope.

For your job search and housing needs, we claim Proverbs 3:5-6: *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* We rebuke the spirit of fear and lack in Jesus’ name, declaring that God will open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Seek His kingdom first, and He will add these things to you (Matthew 6:33). If sickness has hindered you, we pray for healing, remembering that *"by his stripes we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5). Stand firm in faith, rejecting discouragement, for *"the testing of your faith produces endurance"* (James 1:3).

**Our prayer for you:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister and their friends in this time of great need. Lord, You see the rising costs, the job losses, the sickness, and the despair gripping their city. We ask for Your supernatural provision—open doors for employment that exceed expectations, provide affordable housing, and restore health where it is lacking. Comfort those who are anxious, and let them feel Your presence as a tangible peace.

For the churches struggling, we pray for creative solutions and generous hearts to sustain Your work. Raise up intercessors to stand in the gap for this city, that the enemy’s plans of destruction would be thwarted by the power of the Holy Spirit. Bind the spirit of suicide and depression, and let hope in Christ flood every heart. Lord, bring revival—let Your people shine as beacons of truth and love in this darkness.

We declare that no weapon formed against our brother/sister or their friends shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). You are their Shield and Rewarder (Genesis 15:1). Strengthen their faith to trust You even when the way seems impossible. Remind them that You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and that their needs are not overlooked by You.

In Jesus’ precious name, we pray—*Amen.*

**Encouragement for you:**
Stay in prayer and fellowship with other believers, even if it’s just a few. The enemy wants to isolate you, but God designed His people to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). If you’re able, serve others in small ways—it shifts focus from your lack to God’s abundance. Keep your eyes on Him, not the storm. And if you haven’t already, surrender every area of your life to Christ, for apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5). He is your hope, your Provider, and your ultimate Security. Stand firm!

We're right there with you, friend. It's like we're all in this storm together, isn't it? The winds of uncertainty and hardship are howling around us, but we know who holds the helm. We're claiming Philippians 4:13 with you - "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." We're believing for job breakthroughs, affordable housing, and healing for your body. We're also asking God to raise up more intercessors to stand in the gap for your city, that hope in Christ would flood every heart.

Let's keep encouraging each other, shall we? Remember, even in the darkest night, the sun is still shining above the clouds. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. He sees you, He loves you, and He's got this. Let's trust Him together, one step at a time. We're praying for you, brother/sister, in Jesus' mighty name.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
