Unemployment n increasing social problems

Miranda T

Good and Faithful Servant
Much appreciate your prayers. I feel moved to pray for my friends who are struggling to sustain their jobs after Dec 2025 and also myself being sick and unemployed. Here the rental prices are substantially increased and I am struggling to get a new apartment with similar rental price as here. Our city is facing high inflation rate while with massive layoff and closure of business. Consistent new coming up of new suicidal cases on news each day at tall buildings, seas and also at hotels across age groups and social status. It is very stressful periods for everybody living here and churches are struggling in their finances and running because of massive migration which results in substantial reduction of offerings. Etc.. Appreciate your prayers on my friends' job security, my job hunting and house hunting... Asking for miracles and financial and health provisions.

We lift you and your friends up in prayer during this deeply challenging season, and we are moved by your heart to intercede for others even as you face your own trials. The burdens you describe—unemployment, rising costs, sickness, and the spiritual weight of despair in your city—are heavy, but we serve a God who is mighty to save and provide. Let us turn to His Word for strength and hope, for He has not forgotten you or those you love.

The Lord reminds us in **Matthew 6:25-34** not to be anxious about our needs, for our Heavenly Father knows what we require. He clothes the lilies of the field and feeds the birds of the air—how much more will He care for His children? Yet He also calls us to seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to us. In times of scarcity, we must resist the temptation to rely on our own understanding or the unstable systems of this world. Instead, we fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (**Hebrews 12:2**), and trust in His sovereign provision.

We are deeply concerned by the rising tide of despair and suicide in your city. These are not merely social or economic issues—they are spiritual battles. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (**John 10:10**), but Christ came to bring life abundantly. The Church must rise up in this hour with the light of the Gospel, offering hope to the brokenhearted and proclaiming that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (**John 14:6**). We pray that your local churches, though struggling financially, would be filled with fresh anointing and boldness to preach the Good News. May God provide creatively for their needs and use them mightily to turn the tide of despair through the power of His Word and Spirit.

For you personally, we pray for healing and restoration. **James 5:14-15** tells us that if anyone is sick, they should call the elders of the church to pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. We encourage you to seek this if you haven’t already, for the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up. We also pray for divine connections in your job search—open doors that no man can shut (**Revelation 3:8**)—and for a dwelling place that is not only affordable but a refuge where you can experience God’s peace. Remember that even in the wilderness, God provided manna for His people (**Exodus 16**). He will provide for you, too.

For your friends facing job insecurity, we declare **Philippians 4:19** over them: *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We pray that they would not be overcome by fear but would stand firm in faith, knowing that their worth and security are found in Christ alone. May the Lord grant them favor with employers, wisdom in their work, and supernatural provision for their families.

We also sense the Lord calling you to be a beacon of hope in this dark time. Your prayers are powerful, and your faith is a testimony. **2 Corinthians 1:3-4** reminds us that God comforts us in all our affliction so that we may comfort others with the comfort we ourselves have received. As you lean on Him, He will use you to encourage those around you, pointing them to the only true source of peace.

Finally, we must address something vital: in your request, you did not invoke the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (**Acts 4:12**), and it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father (**John 14:6**). Without faith in Jesus, our prayers are empty, and our hopes are built on sinking sand. If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (**Romans 10:9**). It is in His name alone that we find salvation, provision, and eternal hope.

**Our Prayer for You:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister and their friends in this time of great need. Lord, You see the struggles—the sickness, the unemployment, the rising costs, and the despair gripping their city. You are not distant or unaware; You are a God who hears and acts.

We ask for Your healing touch to be upon them. Restore their body, mind, and spirit, Lord. Open doors of employment that no man can shut, and provide a dwelling place that is a sanctuary of Your peace. Father, we pray for supernatural provision—manna in the wilderness—for them and their friends. Let them lack no good thing as they seek first Your Kingdom.

We rebuked the spirit of despair and suicide that is ravaging their city. Lord, raise up Your Church to be a light in the darkness. Fill pastors and believers with boldness to preach the Gospel and minister to the brokenhearted. Bring revival, Lord! Turn the hearts of the people to You, that they may find hope and life in Jesus Christ.

For those struggling with job insecurity, we declare Your promise: You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory. Give them favor, wisdom, and opportunities that only You can orchestrate. Let them testify of Your faithfulness.

Father, we also pray that our brother/sister would grow deeper in their walk with You. If they have not fully surrendered to Jesus, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself today. Let them know the power of praying in Jesus’ name and the security of being Your child.

We thank You, Lord, for You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (**Ephesians 3:20**). May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We trust You, Lord, and we give You all the glory.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're standing with you in this challenging time, dear friend. We've been moved by your heart for your friends and your city. It's overwhelming, isn't it? The rising costs, job insecurity, and the heavy weight of despair. But remember, God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He sees you, and He cares.

We're lifting you up in prayer, asking for healing and restoration for you. We declare that God will provide for your needs, just as He did for the Israelites in the wilderness (Matthew 6:25-33). We believe that God will open doors for you, both in your job hunting and finding a new place to live. Trust in Him, for He is faithful.

For your friends facing job insecurity, we declare that God will supply all their needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We pray for favor, wisdom, and supernatural provision for them and their families.

We're also praying for your city. It's heartbreaking to hear about the increasing cases of suicide. We're asking God to raise up the Church to be a light in this darkness. We pray for pastors and believers to be filled with the Holy Spirit, to boldly preach the Gospel, and to minister to the brokenhearted. We believe that God will turn the tide of despair through the power of His Word and Spirit.

Let's keep encouraging each other, dear friend. God is with us, and He will see us through. Keep trusting in Him, and remember, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1).

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
