Understanding

Beloved of All
A lot has happened. Alot of hurt, anger and frustration. I don't know why these things happen like they have but please pray that I can forgive more, understand God's will and figure out why these things have happened. Thank you.

We hear the deep pain and confusion in your words, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your burdens to the Lord who sees and understands all things. The hurt, anger, and frustration you feel are real, and it’s okay to acknowledge them. God does not turn away from our honest emotions, He meets us in them. But we also know that harboring bitterness or unresolved anger can weigh heavily on the soul, and so we join you in praying for the strength to forgive, not because what was done to you was right, but because forgiveness is the path to freedom.

Scripture tells us in Ephesians 4:31-32, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be removed from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Forgiveness is not about excusing wrongdoing; it’s about releasing the hold it has on your heart so that you can walk in the peace and purpose God has for you. It’s a process, and it’s okay if it doesn’t happen all at once. But we encourage you to surrender each moment of pain to Him, asking Him to soften your heart and help you see those who have hurt you through His eyes.

We also lift up your desire to understand God’s will in these circumstances. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." You may not see the full picture now, but God is weaving even the broken threads of your story into something purposeful. Ask Him to reveal His will to you, not just in the "why" of what has happened, but in the "what now." What is He calling you to do, to learn, or to become through this season? Sometimes the answers come in the quiet moments of seeking Him, not in the noise of our questions.

We must also gently remind you that true understanding and peace come only through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. If you have not yet placed your faith in Him as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to consider the words of John 14:6, where Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father’s love, forgiveness, and guidance. If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we pray that you would do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. This is the foundation upon which all healing and understanding are built.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is carrying the weight of hurt, anger, and confusion. Lord, You see every wound, every tear, and every unanswered question. We ask that You would pour out Your comfort and peace upon them, reminding them that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Father, we pray for the gift of forgiveness to take root in their heart. Soften any hardness, and help them to release the pain into Your hands. Teach them to forgive as You have forgiven them, not because it is deserved, but because it is the path to freedom.

Lord, we ask that You would reveal Your will to them in this season. Give them clarity where there is confusion, and faith where there is doubt. Help them to trust in Your goodness even when they cannot see the full picture. If there are areas of their life that need to be surrendered to You, we pray that You would make those clear and give them the strength to obey. And if they have not yet placed their faith in Jesus Christ, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself, that they might know the hope and salvation that comes only through Him.

Father, we rebuke any lies of the enemy that would tell them they are alone, that their pain is meaningless, or that You have abandoned them. We declare that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), even when it doesn’t feel like it. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to walk in the light of Your truth.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who bore our sorrows and carried our griefs. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, allowing His truth to speak louder than the lies of the enemy. Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path." Let Scripture be your guide as you seek understanding and healing. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and remind you of God’s faithfulness. And remember, healing is a journey, be patient with yourself as you walk it. You are not alone; we are praying for you, and more importantly, God is with you every step of the way.

It’s clear that you’ve been carrying a lot, and we hurt with you. When pain and confusion pile up like this, especially when you can’t yet see why it all happened, it’s hard to know what to do with the weight. The fact that you’re asking for a heart that can forgive, even while you’re still hurting, says something real about your desire to heal.

Forgiveness doesn’t usually start with a feeling. Sometimes it begins with a quiet decision: “I won’t let this offense rent space in my head endlessly. I’m going to stop rehearsing what they did, and instead I’ll hand the whole mess over to God and ask Him to deal with it justly.” That decision may not erase the sting right away, but it stops feeding the anger, and over time the emotional side can begin to catch up. And when the “why” questions won’t let go, it’s okay to tell God you don’t understand. He’s not afraid of our honest grief. Sometimes understanding doesn’t come as a tidy explanation, it comes as a slow recognition that even in this broken place, He is doing something deep in you that couldn’t have happened any other way.

One small step that may help: take a few minutes with paper and pen, and name the specific wrongs that are replaying in your mind. Then, one by one, tell God you’re releasing them into His hands, not because they were okay, but because you refuse to let them keep holding you hostage. It’s not a magic fix, but it can be the beginning of letting your heart breathe again.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this one who is tired and wounded, carrying anger they don’t want and questions they can’t answer. Please quiet the noise inside. Give them the courage to forgive, even when it costs, and gently show them that You are with them in the hurt. Bring wisdom in Your time, and let peace settle over them like a calm they don’t have to manufacture. In Your name.

As surely as God's will is the axle of the universe, as certainly as God's will is the great heart of providence sending its pulsings through even the most distant limbs of human act, so in grace let us rest assured that he is King, willing to do as he pleases. All things are under regulation and have an appointed place in God's plan, and nothing happens, after all, but what He permits or ordains! Knowing that, we will not always say, "If the Lord wills," yet we will always feel it. But while many of God's purposes are hidden from us, there is a revealed will which we must not violate. And we will not even wish for the honest gain that comes of trading unless we can be promoting the will of God by getting it! Our best profit will consist of doing God's will.

But do catch at this hope, it is not a straw, it is a good substantial life-buoy, if thou canst ask forgiveness for the sake of Jesus, God will do anything for Jesus, and he will do anything for thee for his dear sake. We have in him a full forgiveness. And let it be remembered that this forgiveness which God has given us for Christ’s sake is an eternal forgiveness. There is forgiveness with God. It is in God's very Nature that it lies. Fly not away, then, from the very place where forgiveness awaits you! If you have been the chief of sinners, you may have the chief of sinner’s forgiveness, and God can bestow it now. He has no "buts" in His forgiveness. You sometimes say, "Yes, I forgive him, but I will never trust him again." Not so the Lord! You make a clean breast in confession and He will give you a clean breast by absolution.

This shows how perfect is our forgiveness,, nay, I must put it, how divine is the forgiveness which we have received. They will be ashamed to look at you; they will never hurt you again if they see that you cannot be provoked except it be to greater love and larger kindness. This ought to be the mark of Christians; not “I will have the law of you,” or “I will avenge myself,” but “I will bear and forbear even to the end.” “Vengeance is mine. I will repay it, saith the Lord.” A Christian should often perform acts of kindness for which he may only meet ingratitude, acts of kindness to the unthankful and to the evil, in the full belief that there will come a day when Christ will accept such things as done unto Himself and will say, "Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom."

If you receive the forgiveness of God, you will have the fear of God put into your heart at the same time, for this is a part of the ancient Covenant, "I will put My fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from Me." "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you." He will fulfill the desire of them that fear Him: He also will hear their cry, and will save them. When you have respect to God's will, God will have respect to your will. But we do hold and teach that though the will of man is not ignored, and men are not saved against their wills, that the work of the Spirit, which is the effect of the will of God, is to change the human will, and so make men willing in the day of God's power, working in them to will to do of his own good pleasure.

You who are of the blood royal of Heaven, princes in God's Kingdom, will you behave yourselves like paupers? You who have been redeemed with blood, whose every fetter has been struck off, will you act like slaves? Let it not be so! Rise to your true dignity! There is forgiveness with God. It is in God's very Nature that it lies. What a blessed whisper it is! "There is forgiveness." Therefore we come to you, not merely with a hopeful whisper, but with a full, distinct, emphatic, unquestionable assurance, "There is forgiveness." Let me proclaim to every sinner here who acknowledges his indebtedness to God and feels that he can never discharge it, that if you will come and put your trust in Christ, the Lord promises oblivion to all your debt, forgiveness of the whole of your sins!

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
