Understanding

We come before the Lord with a humble and seeking heart, asking for divine wisdom and understanding concerning the dream He has given you. The Scriptures tell us in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." We join you in asking the Holy Spirit to illuminate the meaning of this dream, that it may be clear and aligned with God’s perfect will for your life.

Dreams can indeed be a way in which God communicates with His children, as we see in the lives of Joseph, Daniel, and many others in the Bible. In Joel 2:28, the Lord promises, "It will happen afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions." We believe that God is speaking to you through this dream, and we pray that He would grant you the discernment to understand its significance.

Father God, we ask that You would open the eyes of our sister’s heart to see and comprehend the message You have given her. Remove any confusion, doubt, or fear that may hinder her from receiving Your revelation. Grant her the peace that surpasses all understanding, as it says in Philippians 4:7, "and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Let her rest in the assurance that You are guiding her steps and that Your plans for her are good, as Jeremiah 29:11 declares, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,' says Yahweh, 'thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.'"

We also encourage you to seek godly counsel from mature believers who can help you interpret this dream in light of Scripture. Proverbs 11:14 reminds us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Share this dream with those who are grounded in the Word and who can offer biblical insight. Pray together, study the Scriptures, and wait on the Lord for clarity.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of confusion or deception that may attempt to distort the meaning of this dream. We declare that Your Word is truth, and we stand on the promise in John 8:32, "You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." May this dream be a source of encouragement, direction, and confirmation of Your will for our sister’s life. Strengthen her faith as she waits on You, and let her heart be filled with hope as she seeks Your face.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who intercedes for us and through whom we have access to the Father. May His grace and peace be with you as you continue to seek Him with all your heart. Amen.

We know how stirring it can be when a dream lingers in your mind and seems to carry more weight than an ordinary passing thought, especially when you've been asking God for direction. The waiting for clarity can feel disorienting, and we're glad you reached out.

One thing we've found helpful when we're trying to understand something God may be showing us is to write down everything we remember: the details of the dream, the emotions we felt during it and after waking, and what was happening in our life and prayers in the days leading up to it. Then, rather than rushing to decode it, we can simply lay it before the Lord and ask Him to highlight what matters and let the rest fade. It's often the case that God confirms His guidance over time and through more than one way, so we don't have to force an interpretation today.

It's also wise to ask a mature, trusted believer to pray alongside us about it, not to dictate what the dream means, but to help us test whether something aligns with God's character and Scripture. If the dream is from Him, He'll make its meaning clear in His time, and we can rest in that.

We're praying with you now.

Father, thank You that You know exactly what this dream stirs in the heart of Your child. Quiet any anxiety or confusion in the waiting, and grant the gift of a clear, peaceful understanding, but only what truly comes from You. Protect against distractions, mistaken readings, or anything that would pull away from Your will. Give trusted, wise counsel, and help them hold this matter with an open hand, trusting that You speak in Your way and Your time. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the night visions are not exempt from His dominion. Dreamland knows no god but God, even phantoms and shadows come and go at His bidding. If He has sent you a dream, be assured it comes with purpose. Yet do not rush to the interpreter of dreams as though the vision were a riddle for the foolish. Cry out rather to the Giver of the dream: "Lord, help me! Show me what You would have me know."

Prayer is the key that unlocks the mystery of Providence. When you call upon God in the day of trouble, or in the hour of holy perplexity, you honor Him, and He has pledged, "I will deliver you." Bring this dream before the throne of grace with importunity. Say to your soul, "Wait only upon God, for my expectation is from Him." He who gave the dream can give the understanding, and often He uses the wrestling of prayer to open the eyes more than the cleverness of men.

But remember this: the dream must bow to the Word. The one remedy for every soul-sick need is the Word of God, applied by the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is THE WORD OF GOD, and it is He whom God has sent for the healing and guidance of His people. If your dream is a true message, it will drive you nearer to Christ, not into the fog of speculation. Compare its weight and character with Scripture; if it does not lead you to holier living, to firmer faith, or to clearer sight of the Saviour, then let it blow away like chaff. A barley cake dream gave courage to Gideon because it was stamped with God’s own promise; so let the Word be the interpreter of your bed’s visions.

Do not run from this, saying, "God can never bless such a poor thing as a dream." He can bless it! Pray it up into a blessing. "Lord, You can teach me. I believe it, and I look for it." And if the meaning does not break upon you at once, have patience. The butler forgot Joseph, but Pharaoh must dream a dream, for the iron gate cannot hold against God’s appointed time. The answer will come in the hour best suited to your soul’s true need.

Meanwhile, let this drive you to a deeper dependence. "Lord, help me!" is a prayer to live with and a prayer to die with. If you are under great strain, if the vision has left you troubled, then do not enter the day without this cry. He who prayed for Peter that his faith fail not, prays for you. Rest in that intercession more than in any interpretation.

God is not asleep when we sleep; He is not dreaming when we dream. Trust Him to bring the preventives and cautions of His mercy home to your mind. The end of all His dealings is that we might glorify Him. So turn your dream into sacrifice, and let your prayer be, "Teach me, Lord, that I may praise You." The God of peace be with you.

You desire understanding of a dream. But consider: we are often sunk in a deep lethargy, seeing dreams when we ought to be awake. The things of this present life, whether they seem prosperous or painful, are themselves nothing better than dreams. Why cling to shadows when the Sun of Righteousness rises for those who watch?

If you seek true understanding, do not fix your hopes upon the visions of the night. Instead, arm yourself with prayer and the reading of the divine Scriptures. These are not given only to monks, but to all who dwell in the world and receive wounds daily. Every day is a tempest, and prayer is a mighty weapon; through it God makes His will known. And with prayer, give alms, for almsgiving purges away great sins and clears the eyes of the soul.

If the dream is from God, He will grant you understanding not by your anxious scrutiny of its images, but as you walk in humility, repentance, and watchfulness. I will pray with you, but more than that, I urge you to be awakened. Let us not rely on dreams, but cry out to God with tears, that we may see His truth in the bright day of Christ, not in the shifting phantoms of slumber.
