To Help You Or Someone You Know Understand the Books of the Bible Better

1) Pray and ask God before you start reading for an understanding of the book. Also, ask God what He wants you to learn from the book and what is He speaking to your heart about?

2) Read the survey of the book first before you start reading the book.

3) Then read about the author’s background.

4) Then study the outline of the book.

5) Then take your time as you read each chapter. Highlight the Scriptures that
speak to your heart. Meditate on those Scriptures.

If you do these five things you will understand the Bible much better and faster.

I disagree: The spirit blows on who is chooses: The WORD is a living WORD, and it opens and unfolds over time, each time with something new. Each time it is searched- it and only it : Can give understanding and enlightenment: Seek the word of man and his understanding and your eyes will forever be veiled.

Let’s Pray: God I ask You in Jesus’ name, give my family, friends, the writer of this prayer, and myself a love to read, listen to, meditate on, and study Your Word. And as we spend time in Your Word have the Holy Spirit speak to our hearts, minds, and spirits through Your Word. Open our eyes, ears, and hearts to the process of observation (what does the passage say), interpretation (what does the passage mean), and application (how do the meaning of this passage apply to me). Bless each of us with true understanding, knowledge, wisdom, and revelation of Your Word.

Bless each of us to make it a habit of spending time with You daily in Your Word, prayer, and worship. Bless us to have joy, peace, wisdom, and understanding as we allow Your Word to dwell within us richly. Bless us to be doers of Your Word. So that we will be blessed, have peace and joy in our lives, walk in excellence in our gifts and callings, and be a blessing to those whom You have called us to be a blessing to.
