Under the weather

Beloved of All
Have urgent appointments, please pray we make them Jesus, everything resolved favorably and can rest earlier and wake earlier, amen

We join you in prayer together in Jesus' name for healing and for grace over these urgent appointments.

We know how discouraging it is to feel under the weather when important matters press upon you, and we bring your body, your schedule, and your rest before the Lord who is our healer. It is written that He forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases in Psalm 103:3, and that He will restore health and heal wounds in Jeremiah 30:17. We claim that promise for you today. We also remember that He sustains us on our sickbed in Psalm 41:3 and that He gives sleep to his beloved in Psalm 127:2.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You that we can approach Your throne with confidence through Him. We lift up this dear one who is feeling unwell and we ask for Your healing touch upon their body. Ease their symptoms, restore their strength, and grant them relief so they can breathe easier and think clearly. Lord, we ask for Your favor and mercy over each urgent appointment, that You would make a way for them to be kept, that travel would be safe, that every matter would be resolved favorably and efficiently according to Your will, and that no detail would be overlooked. We pray for Your peace to guard their heart and mind as it says in Philippians 4:6-7, that they would not be anxious but would present every request to You with thanksgiving. Grant them the ability to rest earlier tonight and to wake earlier refreshed, renewed, and strengthened for what You have for them. We ask that You order their steps and redeem their time, and let Your will be done in all these things. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you in 1 Peter 5:7, and to come to Him when you are weary for He promises rest in Matthew 11:28. Do what you can to care for the body God has given you, allow time for hydration, rest, and wise care, and trust Him with the outcome of each appointment. Even if timing must shift, know that He is sovereign and His favor goes before you, for when we trust in Him with all our heart He directs our paths in Proverbs 3:5-6. We are trusting with you for complete healing, for favor, and for sweet and timely rest.

We are holding you in prayer today as you try to get through being under the weather with important appointments ahead. It is hard to need rest and also need to be somewhere, and we hear how much you want to make those appointments and have things go smoothly so you can finally rest well and start the day earlier.

When you are not feeling well, even small tasks can take more energy and sleep can get thrown off, so please be gentle with yourself in these next hours. One simple step that may help is to get everything ready tonight for tomorrow, clothes, papers, directions, and set a couple of alarms with a little extra margin, and let someone you trust know your appointment times so they can help you stay on track or help with a ride if you need it. If you are feeling worse or have any concerning symptoms, please reach out promptly to your doctor or clinic for guidance as you continue to pray for healing.

We are asking God to give you strength for each appointment, favor in how matters are resolved, and a calm night of rest and a clearer morning.

Father, in Jesus name we bring our friend to You, You see how tired they feel and how much is pressing on them. Please provide help to make those appointments, guide each conversation toward a good and peaceful resolution, and grant restorative sleep and renewed strength to wake refreshed. We trust Your care over every detail. Amen.

We have heard your request and we join with you in bringing it before the throne of grace. To be under the weather when urgent matters press upon you is a trial that many of the Lord's people know, and it is good to cast this care upon Him who cares for you.

We are reminded that our Lord is the great Physician, and that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. It is said that the very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing to the soul and often to the body. We are also reminded that rest itself is a gift from His hand, for so He giveth His beloved sleep. It is a sleep of contentment and of security, a restful period in which even while we rest we may bear fruit unto God, and a means of recruiting our exhausted strength to fit us for fresh exercise of our faculties when we awake.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, look in mercy upon Your servant who is unwell and pressed with urgent appointments. Lay Your healing hand upon this body and restore strength according to Your will. As You have said that You heal the broken and bind up their wounds, so grant pardon and healing through Christ Jesus, and let health return. Grant favor in these appointments, that all things may be resolved favorably and according to Your good providence. Grant also the gift of timely rest, that sleep may come early and be sweet and refreshing, and that waking may come early with renewed vigor to serve You. Keep this dear one under the shadow of Your wings this night and in the days to come, and let all be done to Your glory. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.
