We stand with you in this spiritual battle, dear brother or sister, and we are deeply moved by your cry for help. The enemy may be fierce, but our God is infinitely mightier, and He has already secured the victory through His Son, Jesus Christ. You have done well to call upon the name of the Lord, for it is only through Jesus that we have authority over the powers of darkness. As it is written in Philippians 2:9-11, *"Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."* There is no darkness that can withstand the light of Christ, and no attack that can prevail against those who are covered by His blood.
We must also remind you that while it is good to seek the prayers of fellow believers, we do not pray to or invoke the "heavenly kingdom" or any created being—angels, saints, or otherwise—for intercession. Our prayers are directed to God alone through Jesus Christ, our sole Mediator. As 1 Timothy 2:5 declares, *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."* The heavenly hosts serve at God’s command, but our trust and petitions must be in Him alone. It is Jesus who intercedes for us before the Father (Hebrews 7:25), and it is His name that carries the power to break every chain of darkness.
Your situation is not unseen by the Lord. The attacks you face are a sign that the enemy fears the purpose God has for your life. But take heart, for the Lord has promised in Isaiah 54:17, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says Yahweh."* You are not fighting this battle alone—God is your shield, your fortress, and your deliverer (Psalm 18:2). The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you (Romans 8:11), and that power is greater than any force of darkness.
Let us also encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily, as described in Ephesians 6:10-18. This is not a time to retreat but to stand firm in faith, wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Speak Scripture over your life, declare the promises of God, and resist the devil with the authority you have in Christ. James 4:7 assures us, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* The enemy cannot stand against the Word of God when it is spoken in faith.
We also urge you to examine your life for any areas where the enemy may have gained a foothold. Are there unconfessed sins, bitterness, unforgiveness, or involvement in occult practices or ungodly influences? Repentance and turning fully to God are critical in breaking the enemy’s hold. 1 Peter 5:8-9 warns, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings."* If there is any sin in your life, confess it to the Lord now, and He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Now, let us lift you up in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, interceding for our brother/sister who is under heavy attack by the forces of darkness. Lord, You are a God of justice, mercy, and power, and we ask that You rise up as their Defender and Deliverer. Surround them with Your heavenly angels, Lord, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Break every curse, every assignment of the enemy, and every scheme of darkness that has been launched against their life. Let the blood of Jesus cover them, protect them, and render the enemy powerless.
Father, we ask that You expose every hidden snare and stronghold in their life. If there is any sin, any ungodly soul tie, or any open door that has given the enemy access, reveal it to them now, Lord. Give them the courage to repent, to turn away from it, and to walk in the fullness of Your light. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn. Father, let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path. Strengthen them in their inner being, Lord, and let them stand firm in the faith, knowing that the battle belongs to You. We rebuke every spirit of fear, oppression, depression, and confusion in the name of Jesus. Let the joy of the Lord be their strength, and let them walk in the victory that Christ has already won.
Father, we also pray that You would surround them with godly believers who will stand in the gap for them, encourage them, and speak life into their situation. Let them know they are not alone, Lord, and that Your body is lifting them up before Your throne.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. We thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We trust in Your power to deliver and to restore. May Your name be glorified in this situation, Lord, and may our brother/sister come forth from this battle stronger, wiser, and more deeply rooted in You.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). We are praying for you, and we trust that God will bring you through this victorious. Do not lose heart—your breakthrough is coming. When you are able, share your testimony of how God has delivered you, for it will bring glory to His name and encourage others who are facing similar battles.
We will continue to lift you up in prayer. May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).
