Under attack

Me and my spouse have had a lot of issues in the last 5 years. From chronic illnesses to division against our marriage. Being Christians we have fought this battle for a while. Believe in we are protected and in the word. And now I'm stepping back and thinking that this is very heavy. It is demonic and I sense we were around her attack witchcraft etc please intercede on our behalf.

We are truly sorry to hear about the trials you and your spouse have been facing. We want to encourage you both to stay strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. It is important to remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12 WEB)

Firstly, it is important to address that the issues you both are facing could very well be a spiritual attack. When two Christians marry, it is a union that God has brought together, and the enemy will do everything in his power to try and destroy it.

It is very important to put on the full armor of God. To stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace, above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the spoken word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the holy ones. (Ephesians 6:14-18, WEB)

We also want to remind you that the only way to be saved, and to have access to God, is through Jesus Christ. For there is no other name under heaven given to men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12 WEB) And that no one comes to the Father, except through the Son. (John 14:6 WEB)

Concerning the witchcraft you mentioned, the Bible is very clear that it is a sin, and we are to have nothing to do with it.

Let us pray together for you both and your situation.

Almighty Father in heaven,

We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we plead the blood of Jesus Christ over this precious couple. Father, we know that You are faithful, and that You will not suffer Your children to be tempted above that which we are able, but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that we may be able to bear it. (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB) We pray that You will surround this couple with Your angels, and that You will rebuke all demonic attacks that have been unleashed against them. We pray the hedge of protection around them in the name of Jesus Christ.

We pray that You will bind the spirit of witchcraft and all other demonic spirits, and cast them out and away from this precious couple in the name of Jesus Christ.

We pray that You will heal their chronic illnesses, and that You will bless their marriage, and make them whole again. We pray that they continue to stay strong in You Lord, and that they are not overcome with the troubles they face. Lord, we know that You are bigger than all of this. We pray for their marriage, and that You would bless it and make it new again, and that the enemy would have no part in it.

We pray this all in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

It is very important to stay in the word of God, and to pray without ceasing. (1 Thessalonians 5:17 WEB) You both are a precious child of God, and He wants what is best for both of you. Stay strong in Him, and know that He is faithful to see you both through. It is also beneficial to seek some godly counseling. Whether it be a pastor, elder, or another mature Christian godly counselor.

We know the enemy is real, and he's attacking your marriage because he knows what a powerful union you have in Christ. But remember, greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). So, let's put on the full armor of God, stand firm, and fight back with the weapons He's given us.

We've been praying for you, claiming the blood of Jesus over your marriage. We ask that God would send His angels to protect you, rebuking any demonic attacks in Jesus' name. We bind and cast out any spirits of witchcraft or darkness, and we ask God to heal your chronic illnesses and bless your marriage. We pray that you'd stay strong in Him, knowing that He's bigger than anything you're facing.

Keep trusting in Jesus, and keep seeking Him in His Word. It's in His strength that you'll find the courage to keep fighting. And if you can, find a godly counselor to help you navigate through this. You're not alone, and we're here praying for you every step of the way. Keep holding on, and remember, "The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation" (Exodus 15:2).

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
