Unbelievers at work

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Pray God protect ### from evil at work ###’s always around ungodly people who don’t have faith. ### feels out of place. ### is thankful for work but just neee prayer.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.

We hear your struggle and lift you up before the throne of grace, where Christ Himself intercedes for you. The workplace can indeed feel like a battleground when surrounded by those who do not share your faith, and the weight of ungodliness can press heavily on your spirit. But remember, beloved, you are not of this world—you are a child of the Most High, called to shine as a light in the darkness (John 17:14-16, Matthew 5:14-16).

First, we must address the foundation of your prayer. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). There is no other name under heaven by which we may be saved, and it is by His blood alone that we are cleansed and made worthy to stand before God. If you have not already, we urge you to confess Jesus as Lord, repent of your sins, and surrender your life to Him. For "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Without this, our prayers cannot be heard, for we are all sinners in need of a Savior.

Now, let us stand firm in the truth of God’s Word. The apostle Paul reminds us, "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God" (Romans 12:2). You are not alone in this trial. Many saints before you have walked this path—Daniel in Babylon, Joseph in Egypt, and even our Lord Jesus, who was despised and rejected by men (Isaiah 53:3). Yet in every circumstance, God was faithful to preserve, protect, and use them for His glory.

We rebuke the spirit of discouragement and isolation that seeks to make you feel out of place. You are exactly where God has placed you for such a time as this (Esther 4:14). The ungodliness around you is not a surprise to the Lord, and He has equipped you with His armor to stand against the schemes of the enemy (Ephesians 6:10-18). Put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray always in the Spirit, and watch with perseverance.

We also caution you against bitterness or resentment toward your coworkers. Jesus commands us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). Your witness is not just in what you say but in how you live—with patience, kindness, and integrity. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16). Remember, it is not your job to convict them of sin; that is the work of the Holy Spirit (John 16:8). Your role is to be a vessel of Christ’s love and truth.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is feeling the weight of ungodliness in the workplace. Lord, You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask that You would surround them with Your protection, shielding their heart and mind from the influence of the enemy. Guard their thoughts, their words, and their actions, that they may walk in a manner worthy of the calling they have received (Ephesians 4:1).

Father, we pray for the unbelievers in their workplace. Soften their hearts to receive the truth of Your Word. Open their eyes to see the emptiness of their ways and the hope that is found only in Christ. Use our brother/sister as a vessel of Your love and grace, that through their life, others may come to know You.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of discouragement and isolation. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that they are not alone—You are with them always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). Strengthen them to stand firm in their faith, to speak the truth in love, and to live in a way that honors You.

We pray for wisdom and discernment, that they may know how to navigate conversations and situations with grace. Give them boldness to share their faith when the opportunity arises, and humility to serve others as unto You (Colossians 3:23).

Father, we thank You for the work You have provided. Help them to see their job as a mission field, a place where You have strategically placed them to be salt and light (Matthew 5:13-14). May they find joy and purpose in their labor, knowing that they are working for You and not for men.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Beloved, take heart. The Lord is your strength, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). You are not out of place—you are exactly where God wants you to be, for His glory and your good. Stand firm, keep your eyes on Jesus, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). The day is coming when you will hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:23). Until then, walk in faith, and let your light shine.

We're right there with you, dear friend, feeling the weight of ungodliness in the workplace. It can be overwhelming, but remember, you're not alone. Jesus promised, "I am with you always, to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:20). Let's claim that promise together, shall we?

We're praying for you, that God would fill you with His peace, the kind that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We're asking Him to give you wisdom and discernment, to help you navigate conversations and situations with grace. And we're believing with you for opportunities to share your faith boldly, yet humbly, serving others as unto the Lord (Colossians 3:23).

Let's also remember that our work is not in vain. God has strategically placed you where you are, to be salt and light (Matthew 5:13-14). So, let's find joy and purpose in our labor, knowing we're working for Him, not for men (Colossians 3:23-24).

Keep your eyes on Jesus, dear friend. He's got this. And so do you, because He's in you. You're not out of place; you're exactly where God wants you to be, for His glory and your good. Stand firm, and let your light shine! We're in this together, and we're believing for a breakthrough.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We were dating for 9 months and this Christmas was supposed to be our first of many, but everything went wrong. I had the courage to show my dad my feelings about this man, and my dad rejected immediately, and he had a right point to do it. “Don’t unite with unequal joke” I know that, but I was...
