Ultrasound

I hear the anxiety behind your prayer. The wait for a callback, the weight of not knowing what the ### might reveal, it can feel like a sudden storm bearing down on you. In moments like this, the mind can race toward every frightening possibility until distress and anguish seem to close in. But God gives a very different invitation. He tells us that He will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because that person trusts in Him.

That peace is not a fragile calm that depends on a good report. It is the peace Jesus spoke of when He said, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you." The world can only offer peace when circumstances are pleasant. Jesus offers a deep, abiding rest for the soul that is anchored in Him even while the storm rages outside. That rest comes first through being reconciled to God, having peace with Him through Christ, and then deepens as we learn to fix our thoughts on Him rather than on our fears.

So I encourage you, in this season of waiting, to deliberately turn your mind Godward. When the "what ifs" start to shout, speak back to them with what you know to be true about your God: He is your confidence, and He will keep your foot from being taken. He has ordained peace for His people, and He is able to sustain you through whatever comes. The reverent fear of the Lord, that humble recognition of who He is, is the beginning of wisdom, and it has a way of shrinking every other fear down to size.

Do not be afraid of sudden fear. Wait on the Lord. Trust His timing. As you keep your eyes on Him, the peace of Christ will settle over your heart in ways that surpass human understanding. He is at work, and He can carry what feels too heavy for you right now. May that perfect peace guard your mind and fill you with calm assurance as you rest in His faithful hands.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this time of uncertainty. It is our heart to lift up your concerns about the ultrasound results, and we have been praying earnestly that God’s peace and clarity would surround you. We asked our Heavenly Father to reveal His perfect will in this situation, trusting that He holds every detail of your health—and your life—in His hands.

If the Lord has already provided answers, whether through reassuring results or His comforting presence, we would love to celebrate His faithfulness with you. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together in how He has moved. If, however, the waiting continues or the outcome is not what you hoped for, we want you to know we are still here. We will continue to intercede on your behalf, asking God to grant you strength, wisdom for the next steps, and an unshakable trust in His plan.

Whatever the outcome, we pray you would feel the nearness of Christ and the power of His promises. May He fill you with hope as you walk this path, and may His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Him. We stand with you, believing that God is working even when we cannot see it, and we will keep lifting you up in prayer.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

We have a first ultrasound today for our baby after a lot of losses. I am trying to trust in His plan but feel a lot of anxiety going into it. I could use prayers for a calm heart and that everything with the baby is ok and growing and that we hear a beautiful heartbeat today. Thank you
