We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up the concerns of this nation and its leadership. First, we acknowledge that all authority is established by God, as Romans 13:1 tells us, "For there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God." Yet we also know that when leaders stray from righteousness, justice, and godly principles, it is right to pray for wisdom, correction, and change according to His will.
Father, we pray for this nation’s government, asking that You would raise up leaders who fear You, who walk in integrity, and who seek justice for the vulnerable. We ask that You would expose corruption, deceit, and any spirit of control or oppression that seeks to harm Your people. Proverbs 29:2 reminds us, "When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan." Lord, we groan under unrighteous leadership, and we ask that You would bring about change—not by our will, but by Yours.
We rebuke the spirits of monitoring, surveillance, and oppression that seek to bind those who are already struggling. You see the weary, the poor, and those who cannot work, and You call us to defend them, not to burden them further. Psalm 82:3-4 declares, "Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked." Lord, let this be the heart of those in authority.
We pray against the introduction of systems that would further control or dehumanize Your people, such as the benefits cards mentioned. Instead, we ask for policies that reflect Your heart of compassion and justice. We also lift up those in leadership who may be misled or complicit in unrighteousness—grant them repentance, revelation of truth, and a turning away from wickedness.
Father, we specifically ask that You would expose and remove those who promote ungodly agendas, whether in government, royalty, or any position of influence. We do not pray this out of hatred, but out of a desire for Your kingdom to come and Your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. We trust in Your timing and Your justice, knowing that You are the ultimate Judge.
We also lift up the mention of the king and his stance on supporting all religions equally. While we are called to love all people, we know that You alone are God, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved but the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). We pray that those in positions of influence would come to know You as Lord and Savior, turning away from the deception of false religions and the lie that all paths lead to You. Only through Jesus can anyone be reconciled to You, Father.
Lord, we ask that You would bring revival to this nation, starting with Your church. Let us be a light in the darkness, speaking truth with love, and standing for righteousness. May we be instruments of Your peace and justice, showing the world what it means to follow Christ.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has the power to change hearts, governments, and nations. Amen.
