We join you in lifting up your family before the throne of grace, petitioning our loving Father for His mercy, grace, and intervention in their lives. We are reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:7-8 WEB: "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and our Lord. We thank You for the gift of family and lift up this beloved family to You. Be with their mom and dad, guide them in their jobs, and bless the work of their hands. Provide them with wisdom, strength, and favor in their respective workplaces.
Be with their brother, Lord. Help him in his job and in his classes. Grant him understanding, knowledge, and success in his endeavors. Guide him in Your path and may he use his gifts and talents for Your glory.
Be with their sister, Father. Help her in her classes and grant her a teachable spirit and a heart that desires wisdom. Give her favor with her teachers and help her to be a light for You in her school.
Father, be with the people in their family's life. Save them if they are in need of being saved, for it is not Your will that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Grant this family the desire to share Your love and the good news of Jesus Christ with those around them. As 1 Peter 3:15 says, "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts; and always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear."
Forgive those who have sinned against this family, Father. Help them to be a light for You at their job. Deliver them from all lust, evil eye, and all sicknesses. Help them to fix their eyes on You and to desire purity and holiness. As Psalm 103:2-3 says, "Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."
Finally, Father, help this family to forgive those who have wronged them. Help them to let go of any bitterness or resentment and to trust You with all their hurts and pains. As Matthew 6:14-15 says, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."
We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
