🙇🏻Turns to God Acts 3:19 Renewal Tit 3:3-8 👁️👁 Opened by 💡 of God's 📖 2 Cor 4:4-6 Repents being own god Gen 3:1-15 New 💝 Ezek 36:26 Jn 3:3-7

What you describe is a deep and painful struggle, and the very fact that you are wrestling in prayer like this, asking for salvation and true repentance rather than simply seeking an exit, shows that God is already at work in your heart. The natural pull of the flesh is toward self-protection and finality. But the yearning you have for her redemption, the lingering grief that wants for her what she does not want for herself, that is not from you. It is God who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure. He places desires in our hearts that align with His own, and His desire is that none should perish. You are carrying a burden that shares in His own heart.

The central issue always comes back to the heart. The outward actions you describe, the breaking of vows, the fleeing from counsel, the adulterous path, are the bitter fruit. But the root is a heart divided, a heart that has set up its own throne. Every act of unrepentant sin is, at its core, a declaration that we know better than God. It is a return to the ancient lie in the garden that we can be gods ourselves. A person in that state is not merely making bad choices. They are cut off from the life of God. The god of this age has blinded the minds of those who do not believe, so they cannot see the light of the glory of Christ. They are in darkness, and in that darkness, they perceive their rebellion as freedom.

This is why a mere moral adjustment will not do. Hoping she will come to her senses, return a text, or outwardly reconcile is not the ultimate need. The law could say, if she marries another, she cannot return again. But God thunders through the prophet Jeremiah with a glorious “however.” Though you have played the harlot with many lovers, yet return again to Me. God’s own relationship with His people is the pattern here. He was married to a people who broke covenant in the most vile spiritual adultery. The legal right to be done with them was absolute. But His love went beyond the law. He asks, “What iniquity have I done that you should turn from Me?” It is not merely her sin against you that matters most. It is her sin against God. And just as God grieved over Jerusalem, unwilling to gather them under His wings while they stoned those He sent, He grieves over a heart of stone that refuses to be broken.

Therefore, the cry must be for a miraculous work of creation. No argument, no phone call, no fasting on your part can produce what is needed. Only the God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” can shine in the heart of a sinner to give the light of the knowledge of His glory in the face of Jesus Christ. The blinders must be removed by God’s own hand. So your prayer for her to be “opened” is the right one. You are not asking God to merely bless a wayward situation; you are asking Him to save her from it. To translate her from the power of darkness. This is not about reforming a care-free teenager. It is about raising someone who is dead in trespasses and sins, giving them a new heart, and putting a new spirit within them. A heart of flesh, not stone. A circumcision of the heart, where the love of the world is cut away.

And as you stand in this place, it is right to examine your own heart as well. The subtle danger in such a season is that our own heart can become an idolater, making her return the ultimate source of comfort or vindication. The divided heart is the great plague of our age. We can claim to love God, yet have a heart that is whistling after other lovers, even the so-called good lover of a restored marriage, if that love sits on the throne meant for God. The psalmist cried out, “Unite my heart to fear Your name.” This must be your cry for yourself too. It is better to go into the house of mourning than the house of feasting, for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better. Let this sorrow do its deep work, not to make you bitter, but to center your entire existence, without division, upon the Lord.

As for the future, the Scripture is clear and you have rightly understood its boundaries. The Lord’s command remains that a wife should not separate, and if she does, to remain unmarried or be reconciled. The high and holy mystery of marriage, that two become one, points to Christ and the Church. To cleave to that vision while your spouse is in rebellion is to hold up a prophetic picture of God’s own covenant faithfulness. You are right to see that the greatest testimony is not found in exercising a lawful clause for divorce, but in embodying a stubborn, pursuing love that mirrors God’s own, a love that still says “return” when every legal right to walk away is present. Do not let go of that.

Continue, then, in your prayer. Do not regard it as a vain hope. Salvation is as near as the mouth and the heart. God’s arm is not shortened that it cannot save. The promise is that times of refreshing will come from the presence of the Lord. So, with a heart that is undivided in its loyalty to Christ above all, keep bringing this before the throne. Ask that the light would break through, that the scales would fall, and that this one would come to her senses and escape the snare of the devil. We are asking for a soul to be snatched from the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels, and for a living epistle to be written, known and read by all, that says Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners.

We are deeply moved by your heartfelt plea and the burden you carry for this precious soul, and we are honored that you entrusted us to stand with you in prayer. Your cry for repentance, restoration, and salvation—rooted in the very heart of Scripture—has not gone unheard in heaven. We have lifted this dear one before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to soften her heart, open her eyes to the truth, and draw her back to Himself with cords of love. We have prayed for wisdom for you, that you may continue to walk in patience, love, and discernment, even as you cling to the promises of God’s Word.

If the Lord has already moved in answer to these prayers—if there has been a turning, a change of heart, or even the smallest glimmer of repentance—we rejoice with you! Please share this praise report so that we may all give thanks and glorify our Father together. But if the battle still rages and the answer seems distant, do not lose heart. We stand ready to continue interceding with you, believing that God is at work even when we cannot see it. His timing is perfect, and His mercy endures forever.

We will keep praying for:
- A supernatural work of the Holy Spirit to regenerate her heart, as Ezekiel 36:26 promises.
- Protection over her mind and soul, that she would be shielded from deception and drawn to the light of Christ.
- Strength and grace for you, that you may remain steadfast in faith, even as you wait and trust.
- The salvation of this entire family, that none would perish but all would come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
- The breaking of every stronghold, that the love of Christ would be publicly portrayed in this situation, just as it was on the cross.

Let us continue to seek the Lord together, holding fast to His Word and trusting in His unfailing love. May He bless you with His peace that surpasses all understanding as you walk this path, and may His will be done in this matter for His glory. In Jesus’ Name.
