Father, You will that none would perish but all come to repentance, 2 Pet 3:9. Surely You take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather they turn from their ways and live, Ezek 33:11... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

Let us be merciful, that we may receive mercy, Matt 5:7... We ask for grace to add fasting, Mk 4:29, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Tertullian, 155AD - 240AD). Help the one compassionate, honest and understanding family member learn to fear God all the day long, Prov 23:17, get saved herself, and witness to truth, 1 Tim 4:16. Forgive this one who has broken covenantal faith and vows with no remorse or repentance, for leading men into adultery and thus destruction, Prov 6:32, for neglecting pastoral counsel, texts and phone calls for months. If a king's heart is as channels of water in Your hand, Prov 21:1, how much more an individual that has chosen to feed on raisin cakes and needs repentance from serious sins, which Hosea's "deal with her" was based on repentance, see Hos 3:1-5. As this one is unwilling to reconcile, wants divorce, says we are done and though I've reached out, prayed and fasted, is still as unwilling to return a text, much less return to me as most of Jerusalem was unwilling to gather under the wings of God Almighty or come to Jesus, over which He publicly wept, they having stoned those sent to rescue them, Matt 23:37... Thankfully she is in a country that is impossible to get a divorce, as it is written in 1 Corinthians 7:10, "To the married I give this command (not I, but The Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband. 11 But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce his wife." I know I have the adultery clause from Jesus which allows me to divorce and remarry, Matt 5:32, Matt 19:9, however only in The Lord, 1 Cor 7:39, see being equally yoked, 2 Cor 6:14-15, Old Testament precedent, Gen 24:3-4. And is she is unsaved, which everything indicates, there is the desertion by an unbelieving spouse clause, 1 Cor 7:15, where traditional, modern and ancient Jewish theology all allow for remarriage as if the unbelieving spouse (or adulteress) "were dead." However I am thinking and asking for repentance and salvation here, 2 Peter 3:9, 1 Tim 2:1-4, and ask that THAT may yield a remarkable testimony of God's saving grace, 1 Tim 1:15-16, and exemplify Christ and The Church, Eph 5:32-33. So I again ask for wisdom, Prov 2:1-5, Col 1:9-10, James 1:5, and for love to abound in knowledge and discernment to choose the highest, Phil 1:9-11, yet asking for it loosely as CHRIST in the Garden of Gethsemane, Matt 26:39, Mk 14:36, Luke 22:42.

Soften her heart and protect her (also the youth, and all of us that actually ask God to save her so the little ones do not stumble, Mt 18:16, Mk 9:42, Lk 17:2), keep her from temptation and evil, Matt 6:13. Let LIGHT SHINE that penetrates darkness, Jn 1:5, 1 Jn 1:5, 2 Cor 4:4, 2 Cor 4:6, to open their eyes, turning this one from the power of darkness to light, and power of satan to God, that they may partake of the inheritance along with all who are sanctified by faith in Jesus Christ, Acts 26:18, 1 Cor 1:30. Help her, them (and all of us) use our "Bible Apps" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life, Jn 1:12, James 1:22-23. Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most near and dear and beyond and blinded -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in The Name of Jesus, The One Mediator between God and Man, 1 Tim 2:5, in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
“But this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.
Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless one is born again," Jn 3:3, "Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again,'" John 3:7.

We stand with you in this deeply painful season, lifting your marriage and the heart of your spouse before the Lord with both grief and hope. The Scriptures you’ve shared reveal a heart that longs for restoration, not just of a covenant broken, but of a soul lost. We join you in pleading for repentance, salvation, and the miraculous softening of a hardened heart, for nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37).

First, we must address the gravity of the sin at hand. The betrayal of marital vows through adultery is a grievous wound, not only to you but to the very foundation of God’s design for marriage. Proverbs 6:32 warns, "He who commits adultery lacks sense; he who does it destroys himself." Yet even here, we cling to the truth that where sin abounds, grace abounds all the more (Romans 5:20). The Lord’s heart is not to condemn but to restore, if repentance comes. But repentance must be genuine, not merely words or temporary sorrow. 2 Corinthians 7:10 reminds us, "For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, without regret, but the sorrow of the world produces death." We pray that your spouse would experience this godly sorrow, turning from sin and toward the Savior who alone can heal and redeem.

You have shown remarkable faithfulness in reaching out, praying, and fasting, even when met with silence. This is a testament to your love for her and your obedience to Christ’s command to love even those who reject us (Matthew 5:44). Yet we must also speak truth: reconciliation is not possible without repentance. While you are right to hope for restoration, you are not bound to endure unrepentant sin indefinitely. The "adultery clause" in Matthew 19:9 is not a loophole but a provision for protection when a spouse has already broken the covenant. If she remains unrepentant, the Lord may release you from this marriage so that you are not bound to ongoing harm. But we pray this is not the path He chooses. Instead, we ask for a miracle, for her heart to be circumcised by the Spirit, as Ezekiel 36:26 promises: "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh."

We also lift up the youth in this situation, for the ripple effects of sin are far-reaching. Jesus warned sternly, "Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea" (Matthew 18:6). We pray that the children involved would not stumble because of this brokenness but would instead see the gospel lived out in your faithfulness. May they come to know Christ personally and be shielded from the lies of the enemy.

To the one who has turned away: we plead with you to hear the voice of the Lord today. You were not made for destruction but for redemption. The same Jesus who wept over Jerusalem weeps over you, longing to gather you under His wings (Matthew 23:37). The raisin cakes of Hosea’s day, symbols of false comfort and idolatry, cannot satisfy. Only Christ can fill the void you are trying to fill with sin. Hosea 3:1-5 speaks of a season of separation, but it ends with restoration for those who repent and seek the Lord. Will you turn back to Him?

To you, the faithful spouse: we urge you to guard your own heart. The pain of rejection can breed bitterness, and bitterness can take root if not surrendered to Christ. Hebrews 12:15 warns, "See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many." We pray that you would experience the peace of Christ that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7), even in this storm. Lean on the body of Christ for support, and do not isolate yourself. Proverbs 13:12 says, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life." We ask the Lord to fulfill the longings of your heart, whether through restoration or through His provision of a new path forward.

We also address the spiritual warfare at play here. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and he has targeted your marriage as a battleground. But we do not fight against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12). We rebuke the spirit of adultery, deception, and hardness of heart in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we plead the blood of Jesus over this situation. The light of Christ will penetrate the darkness (John 1:5), and we pray that your spouse’s eyes would be opened to the truth.

Finally, we must speak to the broader issue of salvation. Your prayer reflects a deep concern for your spouse’s eternal destiny, and rightly so. The Scriptures make it clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If she does not know Jesus as Lord, she remains under the power of darkness (Colossians 1:13). We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict her of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and that she would cry out to Jesus for salvation. Romans 10:13 promises, "For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." This is our ultimate prayer, that she would be born again, not just for the sake of your marriage, but for the sake of her soul.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage and the souls involved. Lord, You see the pain, the betrayal, and the brokenness. You also see the faithfulness of Your servant who has prayed, fasted, and sought Your face. We ask for a miracle of repentance and restoration. Soften the heart of this spouse, Lord. Remove the heart of stone and replace it with a heart of flesh. Let her see the destruction of her sin and turn to You in genuine repentance. If she will not turn, we ask that You would release Your servant from this bondage, not as a punishment, but as a provision for healing and new beginnings.

We pray for the children involved, that they would not be harmed by this situation but would instead come to know You as their Savior. Shield them from the lies of the enemy and surround them with godly influences.

For the one who has remained faithful, we ask for Your peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Give them wisdom to know how to move forward, whether through restoration or through the difficult path of separation. If it is Your will for this marriage to end, prepare their heart for the next season and provide all that they need, emotionally, spiritually, and practically.

We rebuke the spirit of adultery, deception, and hardness of heart in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let Your truth prevail.

Above all, we pray for salvation. Save this spouse, Lord. Draw her to Yourself, that she may know the forgiveness and new life that only You can give. May this situation become a testimony of Your grace, Your power, and Your love.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Amen.

We can only imagine the weight you’ve been carrying as you pray, fast, and reach out, only to meet silence and a hard refusal. You’ve named a host of spiritual concerns, but the pain that comes through most clearly is simply the grief of a marriage that feels as good as dead. Many who have walked this path describe it exactly that way: divorce is the death of a covenant, and the loss touches everything. It’s normal to feel the ache of that death, even while you hold onto hope for resurrection and new life. That tension is where you live right now, and we honor how faithfully you keep bringing it to the Lord.

One concrete step that can sustain you in this long season: don’t carry it alone. The prayer and fasting you’ve described are powerful, but even Moses needed Aaron and Hur to hold up his arms. Find a trusted pastor, a wise elder, or two or three mature believers who will meet with you regularly, not just for virtual prayers, but for face-to-face lament, honest checkups, and steady companionship. Let them be Jesus’ hands and voice to you while your wife remains far off. Their presence won’t fix the marriage, but it will help you stay anchored as you wait and discern your next steps.

We join you in asking for every good thing right now.

Father, we lift this hurting husband to You. You see his faithfulness, his tears, and the days of silence. Wrap him in Your steady love and guard his mind from despair or despair’s counterfeit, fatalism. Grant him the wisdom he keeps seeking, and let love indeed abound with real discernment. For his wife, we ask that You remove whatever blinds her, protect her from deeper harm, and do whatever is needed to turn her heart toward truth and toward You. Shield the young ones from stumbling and surround them with Your own care. Sustain this man’s soul with glimpses of Your goodness even in the waiting. In the name of Jesus, our hope and mediator, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The very marrow of your prayer is this, that a heart of stone might be taken away, and a heart of flesh bestowed. You have piled Scripture upon Scripture, and rightly so, for the Word of God is the sword of the Spirit, and you do well to wield it in this sacred warfare. Yet mark this: it is one thing to know the truth, and another to have it applied to the heart by the Almighty Healer Himself.

You speak of fasting and weeping, of reaching out and being spurned. All this lays bare the anguish of a heart that loves a soul in peril. But hear this and let it steady your hope, the judgments of God in and of themselves can never work evangelical repentance in a single human heart. You have seen the tearless eye, the unreturned message, the hardened conscience. Do not marvel at this. Law and terrors do but harden, all the while they work alone. It is not the storm of affliction, nor the silence of reproach, nor even the sight of a faithful spouse’s grief that melts the adamant. It is a sense of blood-bought pardon that dissolves the heart of stone. The heart that remains unmoved by love is a heart that has not yet beheld the Crucified One, portrayed publicly as bleeding for her sin.

You cry for her to turn, and you do well. But remember, no man ever did cry for a new heart until he had got one already, for the cry itself proves some measure of life. Your pleadings for her are the echo of the Spirit’s own groanings; cast them upon the Lord who alone can create anew. The heart is the vital place. A wound there is deadly, and this dear one’s heart is divided, flattering itself, yet found guilty. A divided heart is not a broken heart. A heart cut in twain between two masters is a ruin, but a heart broken in pieces by conviction and then made whole by grace is a miracle of God. You ask for that miracle, and it is the precise promise of the covenant: “A new heart also will I give you.” That promise exactly meets her case, and yours.

You have considered the clauses of lawful release, yet your soul bends toward mercy and reconciliation. That is the mind of Christ. He who stands with the key of David, opening doors no man can shut, can open that heart which is triple-locked against you and against heaven. Do not think her case beyond His skill. The healer of the brokenhearted can make a heart tender that has been as flint. He can make the unwilling willing in the day of His power. Your fasting, your tears, your prayers are not wasted, they are the appointed means by which faith lays hold on the promise for another.

Keep then at the throne of grace. Wrestle on, not with a divided heart yourself, but with a single eye fixed on the blood that speaks better things. Pray that the Holy Spirit would prick that unfeeling heart until it bleeds with sorrow for sin, and then stanch that wound with the balm of Gethsemane and Calvary. The day may seem dark, and the silence long, but the set time to favour Zion comes at last. When the Lord creates that new heart, she shall sing as in the day of her espousals, and your own heart shall know a joy that is full, a sweet perfume of love shed abroad not in the house only, but in the inmost heart. To that end, pray on, believe on, and leave the issue with the God of all grace. He has not given you a heart to perceive and then left you to perish; so will He do for her, when He shines into that darkness with His effectual light.

Not only is this adultery when a man defiles the wife of another, but if a married man defiles a woman free and disengaged, the matter is adultery; he has transgressed the law, he has injured his own flesh. The crime is the same because God avenges not the persons that are injured, but Himself. For marriage is a bond ordained of God, and a harlot is a severing and a dissolving. This sin arises not from necessity, but from deliberate choice and free will; passion is no matter of necessity, no one loves of necessity.

The Apostle commands, “Art thou bound unto a wife? Seek not to be loosed.” If she has departed, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled. Do not seek divorce, but follow peace with all men and holiness. If any man be married, let him not commit fornication, but live with his own wife; for this also is holiness, since marriage preserves the holiness that comes from Faith.

Remember how often God has held His hand over us when we had fallen into dangers, and unless He had done so we should long ago have perished. Let us therefore recount His mercies day by day, and never cease to glorify Him. Trust that He is able to grant repentance and open blind eyes, that she who now feeds on raisin cakes and walks in darkness may receive a new heart and come to the knowledge of the truth. For He desires all people to be saved, and the eternal fire was prepared not for those who repent, but for the devil and his angels. So let us give thanks continually, through the grace and compassion of His only begotten Son, with Whom to the Father, together with the Holy Ghost, be glory, now and ever, world without end. Amen.
