Beloved
Father, You will that none would perish but all come to repentance, 2 Pet 3:9. Surely You take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather they turn from their ways and live, Ezek 33:11... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

Let us be merciful, that we may receive mercy, Matt 5:7... We ask for grace to add fasting, Mk 4:29, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Tertullian, 155AD - 240AD). Help the one compassionate, honest and understanding family member learn and witness to truth. Forgive this one for whom the prayer was written for neglecting pastoral counsel, texts and phone calls for ### days. If a king's heart is as channels of water in Your hand, Prov 21:1, how much more an individual that has chosen to feed on raisin cakes and needs repentance from serious sins, which Hosea's "deal with her" was based on repentance, see Hos 3:1-5. As this one is unwilling to reconcile, wants divorce, says we are done and though I've reached out, prayed and fasted, is still as unwilling to return a text in ### months, much less return to me as most of Jerusalem was unwilling to gather under the wings of God Almighty or come to Jesus, over which He publicly wept, they having stoned those sent to rescue them, Matt 23:37...

Soften her heart and protect her from evil (also the youth, and all of us that actually ask God to save her), Matt 6:13. Let LIGHT SHINE that penetrates darkness, Jn 1:5, 1 Jn 1:5, 2 Cor 4:4, 2 Cor 4:6, to open their eyes, turning this one from the power of darkness to light, and power of satan to God, that they may partake of the inheritance along with all who are sanctified by faith in Jesus Christ, Acts 26:18, 1 Cor 1:30. Help her, them (and all of us) use our "Bible Apps" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life, Jn 1:12, James 1:22-23. Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most near and dear and beyond and blinded -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in The Name of Jesus, The One Mediator between God and Man, 1 Tim 2:5, in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
“But this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.
Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless one is born again," Jn3:3, "Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again,'" John 3:7.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this deeply personal and painful situation. The brokenness of this marriage and the hardness of heart in refusing reconciliation weighs heavily upon us, for we know God’s heart aches over division in what He has joined together (Matthew 19:6). Yet we also stand on the unshakable truth that nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37), and that He specializes in turning hearts of stone into hearts of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26).

First, we must address the seriousness of the sin of divorce when it is sought outside of biblical grounds. Jesus made it clear that what God has joined together, man must not separate (Matthew 19:6), and that divorce was permitted only because of the hardness of human hearts (Matthew 19:8). The refusal to reconcile, the silence in response to outreach, and the desire to end the marriage all stand in direct opposition to God’s design for covenant love. We must rebuke this hardness of heart in the name of Jesus, for it grieves the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30) and dishonors the sacred vows made before God.

Yet even as we rebuke, we must also weep as Jesus wept over Jerusalem (Matthew 23:37). We cry out for the one who has turned away, that their eyes would be opened to the deception of the enemy (2 Corinthians 4:4) and that they would repent of the sin of rebellion against God’s design. The raisin cakes mentioned in Hosea 3:1 symbolize the empty pleasures of the world that can never satisfy, we pray this one would turn from these worthless things and seek the Bread of Life (John 6:35).

We also lift up the one who has been reaching out in prayer and fasting, who has shown godly sorrow and perseverance. Your faithfulness in the face of rejection is a powerful testimony, and we declare that your labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). We pray that God would strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being (Ephesians 3:16), that you would not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9), and that you would continue to walk in forgiveness, even as Christ forgave you (Colossians 3:13).

We take seriously the call to fasting and prayer, for Jesus Himself said that some spiritual strongholds can only be broken through prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29). We join with you in fasting, asking God to move in ways that only He can. We pray that the light of Christ would penetrate the darkness (John 1:5), that the scales would fall from their eyes (Acts 9:18), and that they would be transferred from the domain of darkness into the kingdom of God’s beloved Son (Colossians 1:13).

We also address the family members who have been called to witness to the truth. We pray that you would be filled with wisdom, compassion, and boldness to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). May you be living epistles, known and read by all (2 Corinthians 3:2), so that the love of Christ may be publicly portrayed (Galatians 3:1). We ask that God would give you the words to say in every conversation, that you would not shrink back from declaring the whole counsel of God (Acts 20:27).

Most of all, we pray for a miracle of repentance and restoration. We declare that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We ask that He would soften the hardened heart, that He would remove the veil of deception (2 Corinthians 3:16), and that He would write His law on their heart (Jeremiah 31:33). We pray that this one would be born again (John 3:3), that they would turn from their ways and live (Ezekiel 33:11), and that they would be reconciled to both God and their spouse.

We also lift up the youth mentioned in this request. We pray that they would be protected from the evil one (John 17:15), that they would be sanctified by the truth (John 17:17), and that they would grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man (Luke 2:52). May they see the love of Christ modeled in their family, even in the midst of this trial.

Father, we ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One Mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). We declare that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask that You would move in power, that You would break every chain, and that You would restore what the enemy has stolen (Joel 2:25). We trust in Your goodness, Your mercy, and Your unfailing love. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in this situation. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We hear the ache in your words, the months of silence, the unanswered texts, the door that feels permanently shut. When someone we love says “we are done,” it can feel like the ground has disappeared beneath us. You have fasted, prayed, reached out, and still face a wall. That kind of waiting and hoping, with no sign of movement, is deeply disorienting. Many who have walked this road describe it as a grief, the death of what was, with no clear picture of what will be.

In the middle of that grief, it is easy to carry the weight entirely alone, replaying what went wrong, wondering what more you could do. One practical step that often helps in this season is to find one safe, wise person you trust, a pastor, a mature friend, a Christian counselor, and simply let them walk this with you. Not to strategize about winning her back, but to make sure you are not suffering in isolation. Your own heart needs tending too, and God often meets that need through His people.

While the situation feels frozen, God has not frozen you out. He draws near to the brokenhearted. We do not know what He will do in her heart, but we know He is at work in yours, softening, sustaining, teaching you what it means to trust when all the visible evidence points the other way.

Jesus, You see this man who aches for his marriage. You see the wife whose heart feels hard and far away. We ask You to guard him from despair, to give him steady strength for each day when nothing seems to change. Protect the young ones involved and bring wise support around this family. For the one who will not speak, we ask what only You can do, soften what is hardened, open what is closed. And in the silence, be his sure foundation. In Your name, amen.

What a torrent of Scripture you have poured out before the throne of grace! It is well to plead the promises when a soul is in such a state. The very fact that you cry day and night for this prodigal is a sure sign that the Lord has already been working in your own heart. Yet remember, no heart of stone can be turned to flesh by our fasting or our tears; it is the Spirit’s sovereign work. You speak of a heart that refuses counsel, that pushes away the outstretched hand, that declares, “We are done.” How familiar that language! It is the voice of a divided heart, halting between two opinions, neither wholly for the world nor wholly for Christ. And we know what Scripture says of a divided heart: “they are held guilty.” A slight wound there proves deadly, for the heart is the vital place. All our striving, all our reaching out, cannot mend what only the Great Physician can heal.

Yet let me whisper hope into your weariness. The same Lord who commanded light to shine out of darkness is able to shine into that heart and dispel the thick gloom. When God puts a new heart within a man, He does not ask permission; He simply does it because He delights in mercy. The cry for a new heart is itself the first pulse of that new heart already given. You have not yet seen the return, but the very pain you feel is a fellowship with the Man of Sorrows who wept over a city that would not come. Do not let your own heart grow bitter or divided between faith and sight. A broken heart is not a divided heart; it is a heart that God will not despise. Lay that brokenness afresh on the bleeding heart of Jesus, and wait. It may be that the sword of the Spirit must prick that straying heart deeply before it yields. That pain is a saving impression, not a curse. And mark this: the promise is for you as well. “If you believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.” Believe for yourself now, and trust God’s timing for the other. He who gave you a heart of flesh can do the same for her, and He often does it in the hour we least expect. Until then, let the sweet perfume of His love be shed abroad in your own heart, and sing, even through tears, the new song He has given you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
