Today's Encouraging Words
Turn Away From Sin
8If we say that we have not sinned, we are fooling ourselves, and the truth isn't in our hearts. 9But if we confess our sins to God, he can always be trusted to forgive us and take our sins away. 10If we say that we have not sinned, we make God a liar, and his message isn't in our hearts. (1 John 1:8-10)
Our sinful ways is one reason why we need Christ in our life. Only He can help us overcome the wrong habits we’ve established, and only He can take away the scars of the past and change our hearts. The Bible says, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone" (Ezekiel 36:26).
Jesus sat in Levi's house with tax collectors and sinners. And when the scribes of the Pharisees saw that he was eating with sinners and tax collectors, they said, "Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?" Jesus’ reply was, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick; I have come to call not the righteous but sinners."
Sin isn't what distinguishes the good from the bad among us and sin is what separates us from God. Last but not least we need to remember the price that Jesus paid for each of our sins.
“Trust In Him”
God loves us and has the power to change our sinful ways!
Have A Great God Day!
