My husband has been out of work for almost 1 year, not for lack of trying to find a job either. He is a Journeyman Carpenter and was traveling 224 miles everyday, before he was laid off. He was working in Las Vegas, then the economy hit and everything came to a halt. He calls people he worked with and they tell him you better make a drive, cause their hiring, then he gets there and the door is shut. Up until yesterday we have stayed positive, but we had a glimmer of hope last week when our neighbor gave us the number of a friend of theirs that works in construction in Las Vegas. He told them to have Bill call he did and it went very well, it was the most positive news we'd had in a very long time. Got a call last Thursday, said someone would be calling to tell Bill when to come in to do paperwork, and we have not heard anything since. Bill called yesterday and it was as if they never had the previous conversation. Bill even stepped out of his comfort zone and applied for a corrections officer position, he trained physically for it, he had to run a mile and he never runs, but he was determined to do this. He passed the physical, but did not pass the written. They would not tell him why he didn't pass. We are down to our last $300, unemployment has ran out, I don't start back to driving school bus until August and that's only part time, we don't want to lose our home, and yesterday for the first time we fell apart, yelling and crying and angry. I know it was Satan working a wedge between us. I just don't know how to pray, we need your prayers for us. All Bill wants is to work, he's a hard worker, a dependable worker and he just wants to provide for his family. Please pray for us, we need your prayers. God Bless our Nation and our churches.
