Trying But Feeling Hopeless

I know God has been working with me lately because I know I am not as depressed as I have been the past few weeks and I thank God for that. However, I am still struggling each day trying to get over my ex boyfriend. I miss him so much and pray so hard that he will open his heart back to me and make up with me. However, I have no idea if this is what God wants from us. I am trying to stay occupied and turn my thoughts and prayers to God instead but I often fall back to thinking about my ex and praying we would end up back together. I know I need to work on me and focus on my relationship with God instead. I ask for prayers that God will lead me in the direction He wants me to head and let me know if it is time to let go of my ex or keep hoping we will rekindle our relationship. Thank you,
