As we wait on our marriages to be healed and restored we wonder how it can still be this way, are we not praying correctly? are we doing something wrong? is God mad at me? does He not want my marriage restored? These are all questions I know I ask many times. Especially the one Am I doing something wrong in my prayers how come this isn't working, why isn't she back yet why is she still with the other man. Well the truth is we don't always see what God is doing on the other side, He is working miracles we do not see because they are not in front of us. Instead of sitting there saying God why isn't this happening yet, start praying to God asking Him what you can do to better serve Him today. Being men we tend to want to fix things and try and speed the process up, we don't like it when things are out of our control and we have to depend on others for things to happen. Lets face it as men we are as patient as a 2 year old in a book store, we want out of the place we can't read. Well instead of asking God why, when, where and how come we should be Asking Him What can I do for You today Father, How do I draw closer to YOU Father, what am I suppose to learn from these trials Father. As men I am sure He is teaching us patience and to trust others to take care of things. Each one of us has a different lesson God is teaching us, start asking Him what we need to learn, start reading His words and really thinking what the verse means you are reading. I have many verses He gave to me that help in times of distress when I try and take back my marriage and worry on it on my own, send me an email and I will be glad to share them with you. Remember when you start to worry about your marriage you are grabbing it out of His hands, how is He supposed to fix something if you don't let Him have it long enough to fix it. We don't know how long it is going to take, we are not supposed to know, it could be a day, a week, a month, a year, ten years or more. We need to trust and the less we try and take it back from God the faster we can heal and walk in His presence and I don't know about you, but walking with Him is much more important to me than my wife coming back. I have told God I don't want her back if she doesn't come with YOU. We still need to intercede for our wives we need to stand in the gap between them and God, if we don't do it than who will. I am sure the other man won't pray for her to find God, I am sure the friends she is talking to about what's going on won't either. But more importantly we need to seek God in the name of Jesus who stands in the gap for us to God, we need to trust in His perfect timing and we need to stay true to His word no matter what the situation looks like. Remember Faith is not seeing it is hearing, and we all hear His word why else are we standing for what seems hopeless. We choose to follow His word because we Choose to listen to Him when he told us "Don't you dare give up on your marriage" in fact I am positive that He wouldn't have said that unless He knew they were coming back, God does not Lie He is truth, He is hope, but most importantly He is perfect. Seek Him brothers not Your wife, seek His word not what your wife is or isn't saying, seek to be like Jesus. We will never be perfect like Jesus but we should try for that perfection. As we wait for God's timing I ask you guys to do something not just for me but for yourself. Look at the names in this group send a message ask them what you can do to help them, ask them what you can pray for them, ask them how they are. We need fellowship in this time more than ever a friend who understands what it means to stand and to be there when we fall to help us back up. We are not alone in this journey I am sure God has brought all of you here for a reason, so instead of thinking on the when lets start thinking on the who, as in who can I help who can Jesus use me to help today. I ask you all to pray to God in the name of Jesus for God to give you ears to hear Him, and eyes to see Him.
