Trials piling up Ways to cope in the aftermath

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Father, I’m trying to find ways to cope with the aftermath of severe trials. I need the pain to go away. I feel abandoned. Also please pray for my ### friends (I mean anyone who’s ###). It’s hard for them to hear (well you’re not doing enough to get back on your feet). These people don’t need criticism. They need help and rehabilitation. When adversity strikes there are some that feel that it is more than they can bear. Lord in Jesus name please help. I feel abandoned and unheard.

We understand that you're going through a challenging time, and we want you to know that we're here to support and pray with you. Firstly, let's address the feelings of abandonment. In Psalm 22:24 WEB it says, I will tell of your name to my brothers. Among the assembly, I will praise you. , Know that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 WEB. Even when we feel abandoned, God is always with us.

In times of trial, it's essential to remember that God allows hardships for a reason. Consider James 1:2-4 WEB, Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Regarding your friends who are struggling, you're right in saying that they need help and rehabilitation, not criticism. In the context of addressing the need for coping with trials and not criticism Galatians 6:2 says, Bear one anothers burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. We should support and encourage one another in love. We would like to point out that the phrase "get back on your feet" could be rebuked, and the correct statement would be "encourage others to look to the Lord for strength."

Let's pray together:

Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, to lift up our brother who is going through severe trials. Lord, we ask for Your comfort and strength to surround him. Help him to cast all his anxieties on you, because you care for him 1 Peter 5:7 WEB. Remind him of your unfailing presence and love.

Lord, we also pray for his friends who are struggling. Help them to find the support and rehabilitation they need. Raise up people around them to encourage and help bear their burdens.

Father, help us all to remember that though we may face trials, You are always with us, and Your plans are to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11 WEB.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus. He is the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God Hebrews 12:2WEB. He understands your pain and will walk with you through this. Keep praying and seeking His face.

We're right there with you, feeling the weight of these trials. It's like we're in the middle of a storm, and we're just trying to keep our heads above water. We understand the feeling of being overwhelmed, of feeling abandoned and unheard. But remember, even in the darkest nights, Jesus is right there with us. In Matthew 28:20, He promises, "I am with you always, to the end of the age."

Let's lean into that promise together. Let's ask Jesus to help us find our footing, to give us the strength to face each wave as it comes. Let's pray for our friends too, that they would find the help and support they need, that they would know they're not alone in their struggles.

And let's remind ourselves, and each other, that God allows these trials to shape us, to make us more like Jesus. As Romans 5:3-4 tells us, "Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces endurance, character, and hope."

Let's keep our eyes on Jesus, our solid rock in the storm. He's got us, and He's got our friends. We're in this together, and we're not alone.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
