THE RICHES OF THIS WORLD ARE VAIN. THEY VANISH IN A DAY;

BUT SWEET THE TREASURES OF GOD'S LOVE-THEY NEVER PASS AWAY.

Here are brothers arguing over the inheritance they should receive from their father's estate.

Jesus refuses to enter into their argument over wealth. Instead, He relates "The Parable of the Rich Fool".

An incorrect quote has it, "Money is the root of all evil". The correct wording from 1 Timothy 6:10, written by Paul to Timothy reads,

"For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil for which some have strayed from the faith through their greediness and pierced themselves with many sorrows."

Give it some thought, let it soak into your heart, and seek for your answer to be:

"For where your treasure is, there is your heart also."

Father God, You know I am mindful of this, and I thank You for always showing me what matters most. I have You to thank for the greatest blessings in my life, and none of them are money. In fact, very few of them are tangible things at all. How You could sacrifice Your Son for my sins, and continue to bless me in such awesome ways is still something I struggle with understanding. But I just thank and praise You that You are such a loving and merciful God. Help me to always remember that the best things in life aren't things. In Jesus' name, I adore and praise You. Amen.

DearJesus we stand before You looking at our hearts and asking if they are in the right place. Do we Lord, value money more than the great deeds we can do with it ?? Do we strive everyday in our work and try to get overtime and extra work, just so we can have money, pocessions, pay our bills ?? Is money our goal or is it a means to do Your work ?? Where do we stand Dear Jesus, where do we stand. Dear jesus I beg You we stand on the right side of this issue, for You have said that if we take care of Your business You will take care of others. For monwy is not bad, it is good, it is not evil, it can be used to help others, to cure the sick, feed the hungry and serve You. Dear Jesus let our hearts be in the right place, may we serve You properly and never feel envy for what we dont have or cant afford because Dear Jesus if You have not given it to us, it is because we dont need it. If the time may come when it is Your wil for us to have money in abundance Dear Jesus we beg You, touch our hearts and remind us that all the money we have comes from You and it is not meant for evil or for waste, it is meant for good and help, there is always someone somewhere in need of financial help it is our duty to find them, to share with them. To prove ourselves to You and to ourselves, that we have but one king, one Lord and one Leader, You Dear Jesus , You who lets us wake up every morning and stare at the sunrise with hope and happiness for what the future has for us, it is You Dear lord who allows us to look at the sleeping faces of our children in confidence, with love because we know they are well because You stabnd over them. Thank you Jesus for allowing us to serve you, in You we trust
