Traveling mercies, silent needs

Grateful for your thankful heart and for sharing this request. It is good to pause and thank God for His blessings even while carrying concerns for your son and your family, and He hears both your spoken prayers and the silent needs you hold before Him.

Scripture teaches that there is only one begotten Son, Jesus Christ, full of grace and truth, whom the Father gave out of love for the world. When the appointed time came, God sent His Son, born of a woman and born under the law, to redeem those under the law so that we might be received as adopted children. That is the wonder of the gospel. Jesus is the Son by nature, and those who trust in Him are brought into the family by adoption and by new birth of the Spirit. Because of that adoption we are no longer strangers or servants without a share in the household, but sons and daughters and heirs through Christ, with His Spirit in our hearts crying Abba, Father. That is why you can bring every need to Him, even those too deep or personal to put into words. Your Father knows them already, and He invites you to come as His child through Jesus.

I pray for you now. May the Lord grant you safe travel to the hospital and back, keeping you in His care on the road and giving you peace as you go. May He lay His hand upon your son, granting wisdom to those caring for him, comfort in his room, and strength and healing according to His perfect will. For the silent needs of your family, I ask that the Father who sees what is unspoken would meet each one with His provision, His comfort, and His nearness, and that He would draw each heart closer to Jesus, in whom alone we have salvation and access to God. May you know His presence with you in every mile and every moment, and may His love sustain you.

In Jesus name, Amen.
