Traveling mercies, silent needs

We join with you in thanking our Heavenly Father for His many blessings and we count it a privilege to lift up your needs before Him together in Jesus name. We rejoice that you came to the Father in the name of Jesus, for He tells us in John 14:6 that He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him. It is only through Jesus that our prayers are heard and our salvation is secured.

We bring before the Lord your request for traveling mercies as you go to and from the hospital to see your son. We know the Lord watches over His children on the road and we trust His promise in Psalm 121:7-8 that the Lord will keep you from all evil and will keep your going out and your coming in. We also cling to Psalm 91:11 that He will give His angels charge over you to guard you in all your ways, and to Proverbs 3:23 that when you walk in His way you will walk safely.

We also lift up the silent needs you carry for your family. Even when words are unspoken, our Father knows and cares deeply. Romans 8:26 reminds us that the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered, and 1 Peter 5:7 calls us to cast all our worries on Him because He cares for us. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us not to be anxious but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving to let our requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy toward us. We thank You for Your love that never fails. We ask in the name of Jesus that You place Your hand of protection over our dear one as they travel to and from the hospital. Keep them safe from harm and danger, guide every mile, and grant peace and alertness on the road. We ask that You be with their son and minister to him in that hospital according to Your perfect will, bringing comfort, healing, and strength as You see fit. We also lift up every silent need in this family that has not been spoken aloud. You know each heart, each burden, each worry. We ask that You meet each need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus, that You bring healing where there is hurt, provision where there is lack, and unity and peace in the home. Draw this family closer to You and to one another. Help them to trust You more each day and to rest in Your unfailing love. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord with every detail, spoken and unspoken, knowing that He hears and He is faithful to answer according to His perfect wisdom and love.

Thank you for trusting us with this prayer. Going back and forth to the hospital to see your son is a lot on the heart and body, and we are honored to stand with you for protection on the road and peace for your family.

We hear your thankfulness even in the midst of worry, and we hear the weight of those silent needs you are carrying for your family. God knows each one by name even when words are hard to find, and we are lifting them to Him just as you have asked.

As you travel, we encourage you to give yourself a little extra margin when you can, let someone close know your travel times, and allow time to rest between visits. Those small steps can help ease the strain of hospital days. We will keep praying for you all in the days ahead.

Father, we thank You for Your blessings in this family's life. We ask for Your hand over every drive to and from the hospital, for safety and calm there and back. We lift up ### to You for Your care and comfort, and we lift every unspoken need in this family to Your mercy and wisdom. Give strength for each day and quiet assurance that You are near. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer for traveling mercies to and from the hospital to see your son, and for the silent needs of your family, has been brought before the Lord and we join you in thanksgiving for His blessings already bestowed.

We are reminded that His mercies are innumerable and new every morning, great is His faithfulness. Sit down and count your mercies if you can, and as you count them they multiply, for every beating pulse increases the multitude of them. Yet we do know the rule of them, that every one of them comes to us by way of the Cross and bears the mark of the Redeemer's blood upon it. The sure mercies of David of which the prophet speaks are the sure mercies which are all in Christ Jesus our Lord. He died to purchase these mercies for you and He lives to claim them on your behalf. Incline your ear and come unto Him, hear and your soul shall live, for in Him there is salvation and He is anointed on purpose to give it.

For your journey, take comfort in this promise, He shall give His angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways. He who travels on the King's Highway is under the King's protection. When you go in the appointed ways of duty and mercy, to visit the sick and to care for your own household, you may expect that perpetual and personal keeping of which the Psalmist speaks. We pray that the Lord will keep your going out and your coming in, that He will guard you from danger on the road and grant you peace in your going and returning.

For your son in the hospital, we look to Christ the great Physician. In His Hospital there never was a patient turned out as incurable, for He is able to save to the uttermost and to heal the broken in heart and to bind up their wounds. We ask the Lord to lay His hand upon your son, to grant wisdom to those who care for him, and to give you strength and comfort as you watch over him.

For those silent needs within your family, which you have not spoken but which God fully knows, we entrust them to Him who hears the unuttered groan. He knows the number and the weight of every burden, and not one is hidden from Him. May He supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus, and may your family be kept in His everlasting Covenant.

We pray that you will see manifold mercies in this season, fold upon fold, each one distinct and sweet, and that you will have grace to tell of His lovingkindness with a grateful heart. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and keep your household under the shadow of His wing, for Jesus sake. Amen.
