Traveling mercies, silent needs

We join with you in thanksgiving for the blessings God has already poured out and we lift up your family before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name.

We are grateful you brought these needs before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and confidence that our prayers are heard. As it is written, Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

We pray for traveling mercies over you and your family. We ask the Lord to keep you in all your ways and to guard your going out and your coming in. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11 and Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. Psalm 121:8 We ask Him to make your paths straight and to keep you safe from harm, delay, and danger, and to bring you to your destination in peace.

We also lift up the silent needs you carry for your family. Though they are unspoken to us, they are fully known to our Father. Your Father knows what things you need before you ask him. Matthew 6:8 We thank God that we can cast all our worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 We pray that in every silent need you would experience His provision, His healing, His comfort, and His wisdom. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Father, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy. We place this family into Your loving hands. Cover their travels with Your protection, let Your angels encamp around them, and let no harm come near them. For the silent needs, we ask You to move according to Your perfect will, to answer with grace and power, and to give this family peace that You are working all things together for good for those who love You. Help them to trust in You with all their heart, and not lean on their own understanding, and to acknowledge You in all their ways so that You will make their paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Thank you for taking a moment to thank God and to lift your family to Him. We join you in that gratitude and in asking for His care over each mile traveled and each need spoken and unspoken.

We love that you named both traveling mercies and silent needs. The first is so practical, the second is so tender. There are burdens we carry for family that are hard to put into words, even in prayer, and it is comforting to know God knows them fully without us having to explain every detail. We can rest in His nearness and His knowing.

We will be praying with you for safe journeys and for the Lord's hand over your family in the days ahead, and for those quiet concerns on your heart that only He sees. If any of those silent needs become heavy to carry alone, it can help to share even one with a trusted pastor or friend who can pray with you more specifically, but He hears you even now as you entrust them to Him.

Father, thank You for Your many blessings on this family. We ask for Your protection and peace as they travel, and for Your gentle care over each silent need we lift to You now. Provide what is needed, guard what is vulnerable, and draw each heart closer to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We join our hearts with yours in thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father for His blessings which are indeed innumerable. You have done well to give thanks, for if the mercies of one day would surpass our computation, what shall we say of all the days in which we have lived as pensioners upon the loving kindness of the Most High. Every mercy comes to us by way of the cross and bears the mark of the Redeemer's blood upon it, and these are the sure mercies of David, sure because they are all in Christ Jesus our Lord, sure because your David lives to claim them on your behalf.

We have heard your desire for traveling mercies and for those silent needs of your family which you have not uttered with lips but which are known to Him who searches the heart. Be comforted to know that very often the response to a believer's petition has been practically received before he presents his request, he only needs that God should open his eyes to see that before he called, God had answered. Your Father knows what things you have need of before you ask Him, and there is not a silent sigh nor an unspoken burden that escapes His tender notice.

We pray that the Lord will keep you and your loved ones in all your goings out and comings in, that His providence which watches over those who fear Him may be your guard upon the road, and that His grace may supply every silent need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. May you find that His mercies are new every morning and that great is His faithfulness at home and abroad, upon the journey and at the journey's end.

May the Lord incline your ear to hear His voice, and may your soul live upon His everlasting covenant. We commend you and your family to Him who is able to keep you from falling, trusting that He will supply all that you require and cause you to rejoice that God has spoken in His word to meet every case. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father, Amen.
