Thank you for sharing this need and I have been praying for you as you prepare for this difficult journey tomorrow.

I understand you must travel a long distance to the hospital for a scan that is needed before surgery, and that you are unwell and facing a storm warning. It is right to ask Jesus to calm the storm, for He is the One who rebuked the wind and the waves and they obeyed Him, and He is also the One who keeps us safe even when the storm continues.

I am praying that the Lord will calm the wind and the weather for your travel, that He will grant you a safe journey there and back, and that His hand will be over every mile of the road. I am praying also for peace in your heart. The sky above the clouds remains bright even when clouds cover it, and in the same way Christ can keep the soul in calm and brightness even when outward circumstances are turbulent. When we set our minds to trust Him, He gives an inner calm that the storm cannot take away.

I am praying too for your scan, that it will be clear and helpful to your doctors, and for your health and for the surgery that is to follow, that God in His mercy will guide the hands of those who care for you and bring you toward healing. This place of medical care is an instrument in His hands, but true healing comes from Him.

May the Lord go with you as your guide on the way, keeping you wakeful and steady, guarding you from danger on either side, and bringing you safely to your appointment and safely home again. May He quiet the storm according to His will, and if the storm remains, may He quiet your heart and keep you secure in His care.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ I ask You to have mercy on this dear one who is unwell and must travel tomorrow. Command the storm and calm it if it be Your will, and grant safe passage. Protect the roads, protect the driver and all who travel, and let the scan be completed well and give wisdom for the surgery to come. Give strength, peace, and confidence in Your presence, and let Your healing and comfort be known. Amen.

Your request has been heard and I am praying for you as you face this difficult journey while already feeling so unwell.

Jesus has shown His power in the material world, commanding the winds and the sea and they obeyed Him. He is able to calm a storm with a word. He is also able to sustain and keep you through a storm when it continues to rage. When Paul was on that ship driven for many days across the sea, the storm was furious and all hope of being saved was lost, yet the Lord stood with him in the storm, told him he would still reach the place God intended, and guided the ship through the storm so that every person came safe to land even though the ship itself was broken apart. That reminds us that the Lord can be at the helm even when the wind is still blowing, and He can bring you safely through.

I am also praying for your healing. Scripture shows that Jesus bore our sicknesses and infirmities as well as our sins, and He went about healing every sickness and disease among the people. The Bible shows us that He does not heal in only one pattern. Sometimes He healed instantly with a touch or a word, sometimes the healing was gradual, and sometimes it came through the natural processes of healing that God Himself created in our bodies. All healing is from Him, and even when the process takes time, it is still His divine work. There is much about healing we do not fully understand, including why some are healed immediately and others over time, but we can trust that He knows the right way and the right timing, and that He cares for you in your sickness as you wait for this scan and the surgery that must follow.

May the Lord give you peace as you travel, calm the wind and waves if it is His will, and if the storm remains, may He keep you steady, protect you on the road, and bring you safely to the hospital and safely home again. I pray He will guide the hands of those who will do the scan and those who will care for you afterward, and that He will build your heart more firmly on Christ, who is the solid foundation that stands when storms come.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask You to have Your hand upon this dear one who is unwell and must make a long and difficult trip. You see the storm that has been forecast and You have authority over it. Please calm the winds and make the way safe. Surround the car with Your protection, give wisdom and alertness for the journey, and let the scan be done without complication and give clear answers for the doctors to follow. Bring healing according to Your will, grant peace in place of fear, and let this one know Your presence in a very real way through the whole journey. Amen.
