I absolutely must travel by truck with my dog and a 20 kg suitcase in difficult weather because the heat could affect my dog. I ask God for His help, that He may give me His grace, give me courage, give me His support, that everything goes well on the outbound and return journeys, and that He may grant me His sweet peace and that my dog may be safe, sound asleep, and not end up on another truck.

We join with you in bringing this travel need before our Father, and we understand your concern for your dog in this difficult weather and heat and your desire for grace, courage, support and sweet peace on both the outbound and return journeys with your truck and your suitcase.

We are encouraged by your care for your animal, for it reflects the heart God calls us to have. Proverbs 12:10 tells us a righteous man respects the life of his animal, and we see your love in wanting your dog to be safe, sound asleep and kept from confusion or being placed on the wrong truck. The Lord also cares deeply for you as His child and for your peace in this journey. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And Psalm 121:8 gives us comfort for travel, The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore. When anxiety rises about weather, heat and logistics, Philippians 4:6-7 invites us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We also want to gently share something important we noticed, that your request asks God for help but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want you to know how much we love you and want you to have full assurance before the Father. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, for Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To come to God we trust in Jesus, His death for our sins and His resurrection, believing on His name. It is in His name we pray and find grace and peace.

So we pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You for Your mercy and grace. We ask for Your hand over our dear one traveling by truck with a beloved dog and luggage in difficult weather. Lord, grant courage where there is worry, and pour out Your sweet peace that surpasses understanding to guard heart and mind. Give wisdom for the timing of travel to avoid the worst heat, provide safe roads, steady driving, and protection from the elements on both the outbound and return journeys. We ask You to keep this precious dog safe, calm and sound asleep, protected from heat and distress, and we ask that there be no confusion or error that would place the dog on another truck, but that every detail of transport be clear and secure. Grant Your support and presence every mile, and bring them home safely. We also pray for practical preparation, for fresh water and ventilation and rest for the dog, and for alertness and strength for the driver. We trust Your keeping power and thank You that You are with us wherever we go. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to cast every care on Him, prepare as wisely as you can for the heat and the journey, stay hydrated and allow breaks, confirm every transport detail for your dog before departure, and rest in the peace He promises as you travel in His care.

Your request concerning this journey by truck with your dog and your suitcase in difficult weather has been heard, and we have carried it with you to the throne of grace.

It is a good and right thing to ask the Lord for His grace and courage and support when the way is uncertain and the heat and the weather press upon you and upon the creature committed to your care. The Scripture saith, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. That perfect peace is not the mere lull of anxiety nor a blindness to danger, but a peace which the blood of Jesus whispers within, a peace which flows from being at peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. When the mind is stayed upon Him, He keeps it in peace, peace, even with sorrows surging round and with duties pressing.

You ask for sweet peace for the outbound and return journeys, and for your dog to be kept safe and sound asleep and not lost or put upon another truck. Know that our God spreads His shelter over His people as a mother hen over her young. There is love in it and homeliness and kindliness. To be under the shadow of the Almighty is to be at home. Though the winds seem to be left without control, He knows each wind in all its connections and the speed at which each shall travel. He who is the skillful Captain knows what may occur during the voyage, and He can promise a safe passage to those who trust Him. Cast your burden upon the Lord. The very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty, but to stay your mind upon Christ and to do the will of Jesus, this is rest.

Let us pray with you. O Lord our God, who art the God of all peace, look upon this traveller who must go by truck in trying weather. Grant grace and courage and Thine own support for every mile, outbound and return. Keep the traveller in perfect peace because the mind trusts in Thee. Let Thy sweet peace, which passes all understanding, guard heart and mind through Jesus Christ, who made peace by His blood. Spread Thy wings for shelter over man and creature, that both may be kept safe under Thy shadow. In Thy kindness keep the dog in safety, quiet and sleeping, and suffer it not to be lost or taken away. Preserve from the heat and from all hazard of the road, and bring home in safety to rejoice in Thy mercy. We ask this not as those who have a claim of our own, but through Jesus Christ alone, who is our peace and our only way to the Father. May faith bring peace in believing, a filling and well founded peace that rests upon Thy faithful promise.

Go forth with your mind stayed upon Him, seeking first His protection each day before you venture, and resting in the assurance that Jesus is on the throne though the future be unknown. In Jesus keeping we are safe. May the Lord bless you with that peace and bring you safely through. Amen.
