We lift your journey up to the Lord with hearts full of faith, trusting in His protection and provision. The Bible assures us in Psalm 121:7-8, "The Lord will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forward, and forevermore." We claim this promise over your travels today, asking that God’s angels surround you, guide your steps, and keep you safe from harm.
We also pray for the safety of your flat while you are away. May the Lord watch over it as He watches over you, guarding it from any trouble or mischief. In Isaiah 26:3, we are reminded, "You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you." We pray that this peace would fill your heart as you entrust your home to God’s care.
For the key collection, we ask that the Lord would go before you, smoothing every detail and removing any obstacles. Proverbs 16:9 tells us, "A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps." We trust that God will direct your steps today, making your path clear and your tasks effortless in His strength.

You did well to bring your journey to the Lord, right down to the flat and the key. Some might think it too small a thing to trouble heaven with, but I cannot read the Scripture without seeing that the God who numbers the stars also numbers the hairs of your head. The one who commands us to call upon Him in the day of trouble has never yet complained that we came too often or about matters too slight. He who sat weary by the well at Sychar has not forgotten what it is to be on a journey, to feel the heat of the day, to need the orderings of daily life to fall into place. That key in your hand is no trifle to Him.
When you set out, you are not travelling alone. The promise stands for every child of God who keeps the highway of humble trust: “He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.” Not only the great stretches of road, but the narrow lane of a key collection and the quiet rooms of an empty flat are all under the watch of that same care. He who builds the house and guards the city does not slumber while you are away. The door you lock is as safe as if Christ Himself turned the bolt.
There is a golden key in prayer that fits every lock. You have already used it. Now go your way in peace, expecting that the Lord who heard your simple plea will answer with a Father’s own attention to every detail.
