We join you in bringing these many cares before our heavenly Father and we seek His will together in Jesus name.
We notice your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and can come boldly before God in prayer. We encourage you to put your trust fully in Him, not only for these daily needs but for eternal life.
We lift your family to the Lord as they travel and we pray for their safe return home on Sunday. Psalm 121:8 says, Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. We ask God to keep them safe on the road and to bring them home in peace.
We also pray for your body, for your bladder and bowel, that God would grant you comfort, dignity and strength. We know these concerns can weigh heavily and we ask the Lord to give you peace and to sustain you. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We gently encourage you to place your hope not in circumstances going exactly as desired, but in the Lord Himself, for He is our true hope. Psalm 42:11 says, Why are you in despair, my soul, Why are you disturbed within me, Hope in God.
We pray about the weather and your desire that no major snow come until mid December and that you would be able to go places on Monday. While we understand the disappointment you felt years ago when you were not allowed to go out even though it did not snow much, we encourage you to honor your parents and to trust their judgment, even when it is hard to understand. Ephesians 6:2 says, Honor your father and mother, and Colossians 3:20 says, Children, obey your parents in all things, for this pleases the Lord. We pray God will give you grace to be understanding and forgiving, and that He will give your parents wisdom to make good decisions for you. We pray also for your medical scooter, that it would work well without issues, and we trust God with the weather, for Job 37:6 says He says to the snow, Fall on the earth, and we can trust His perfect timing.
We pray for your mum as she prepares for foot surgery, and for your dad who is not well. We ask the Lord, who is our healer, to touch them both. Jeremiah 30:17 says, For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Exodus 15:26 reminds us that Yahweh is He who heals us. We pray for healing for their eye issues as well, and for strength for your dad that he would soon be well enough to do things again. We pray for your mum to receive the new wheelchair she needs and for you also to receive a new wheelchair as yours is falling apart. Philippians 4:19 says, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We ask God to provide for these practical needs according to His riches.
We pray for the doctor with hearing issues who your mum plans to see for pain relief, that God would guide his hands and mind and prevent any major mistakes, and that God would give wisdom to all medical professionals involved. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Father, in Jesus name we pray together for all these things. We ask for safe travel for this family, for calm and health for bladder and bowel, for protection over the scooter and provision of wheelchairs, for successful surgery and healing for mum and dad, for restored eyesight, for a wise and careful doctor, for favorable weather according to Your will, and for peace between parent and child with understanding and grace. We place all our hope in You and we ask that Your will be done in each of these matters. We pray for Your peace to guard this heart and for Your provision and healing to be made known. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to keep casting all your cares on Him, for He cares for you, as 1 Peter 5:7 says, and to continue to trust Him day by day. Romans 8:28 reminds us that we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.
