Trauma

We thank you for sharing this burden and we are praying for you and for the others you mentioned who are carrying trauma and PTSD.

We bring you before the Lord who is the true physician. Even when wounds are deep and healing feels slow, He does not abandon His work. As a physician continues to apply medicine with patience, so God continues to work in us, sometimes through many small steps that together bring restoration. Even if the fruit is not seen at once, we trust that He is at work at the root, and in His time He can bring recovery and renewed strength.

We pray now for you:

Father in heaven, we ask for Your mercy and healing upon this dear one and upon all who suffer from trauma. You see every memory, every fear, every sleepless night and every pain that others cannot see. Bring Your peace that passes understanding to guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Comfort those who are troubled, calm anxious thoughts, restore restful sleep, and gently heal what has been wounded. Give wisdom and compassion to those who care for them, and help each one to cast their cares upon You, knowing that You care for them. Strengthen their confidence in Your goodness, so that they will not lose heart but will hold fast to Your promises. Where there has been loss and brokenness, bring restoration in the way that is best according to Your will, and above all draw each heart closer to Your Son. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our hope and healer. Amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing these needs to the Lord, to stay rooted in His Word, and to seek support from trusted pastors, counselors and community who can walk with you faithfully. You are not alone in this struggle, and we will continue to pray for your healing and for the healing of others who suffer as you do.
