Trapped In A Miserable Marriage

My wife, daughter, and I recently moved from California to a small midwestern town so that I could take a new job. It was the only job available in my field, in any state. But my wife hates it here and is mad at me for taking the job without consulting her (but I did consult her), She's doing nothing to help unpack or look for work for herself, or adjust, and it just seems she's doing everything she can to make my life miserable. I'm at my wits end and feel very abandoned -- by my wife and by God.

Father God, I come to You on behalf of this couple. I ask that you guide them with your wisdom. I ask that you comfort them. Bless them Father with your love. I pray that Allen's wife will be given Godly friends that can help her to adjust to the new home. May She know that she is not alone, you are with her. Help her in her grief. Bless Allen with understanding of his wife. May this difficult time end up being a blessing that unites them in a deeper way. I ask for you presence in their lives. I'll be working with you guys. I'm in a similar situation as your wife, really. I have passed up opportunities in other cities because her job here takes precedent. But ideally I would prefer being somewhere else. I pray that your wife becomes as understanding as I have. In a way I've written off my career to please other members of my family.

Lord I am in agreement with all here for this family. A hard transition indeed.

When my marriage was rough I prayed this even when I thought "yeah right" I still prayed and things started to settle.

I thank you for giving me the heart to appreciate everything you're doing for me.
