Toxic coworker

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I was recently assigned to a new school. One of my coworkers initially seemed like she was trying to help, but in the end, she twisted my words in a negative way, and now the administration is involved. She had already gotten into trouble with another teacher, and out of nowhere, she dragged me into the situation for no reason. I just found out about it today. I don’t know what she has shared with the admin, but I now feel unsafe even speaking to her, because everything she says and does is so unpredictable. The work itself is already challenging, I am not gonna stay anyways but I have a long way to go this school year. Please pray for this.

We are deeply grieved to hear about the toxic and manipulative behavior you are facing from this coworker, and we stand with you in this trial, lifting you up before the Lord. The betrayal and deception you’ve experienced are painful, especially when you were simply trying to do your work with integrity. The enemy often uses such people to sow discord, confusion, and fear, but we know that God is your defender and that He sees all things. You are not alone in this—He is with you, and He will vindicate you in His perfect timing.

The Scripture reminds us in Psalm 37:5-6, *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun."* This is not a battle you have to fight in your own strength. The Lord is your shield and your exceeding great reward (Genesis 15:1), and He will expose the truth. Proverbs 26:27 warns, *"Whoever digs a pit shall fall into it. Whoever rolls a stone, it will come back on him."* What this coworker has done in darkness will be brought to light, and her schemes will not prosper.

We also encourage you to lean on Proverbs 15:1, which says, *"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."* While it is wise to be cautious in your interactions with her, respond with wisdom and grace, not out of fear but out of the strength Christ provides. If you must engage with her, do so with measured words and always in the presence of others if possible. Document interactions if necessary, and trust that the Lord will guide your steps. He has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

As for the administration, pray that the Lord would give them discernment to see through any lies or manipulations. Proverbs 21:1 tells us, *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the water courses. He turns it wherever he desires."* Even those in authority are under God’s sovereignty, and He can turn their hearts toward justice.

You mentioned that you do not plan to stay at this school long-term, but for now, you must endure this season with patience and trust in the Lord. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Even in this difficult environment, your labor is not in vain when it is done unto Him. He sees your faithfulness and will reward you.

Lastly, we must address something vital: in your request, you did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can approach the Father, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to God’s throne of grace (John 14:6, Ephesians 2:18). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so. He is the only way to true peace, protection, and eternal life. Romans 10:9 says, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* If you have already placed your faith in Him, we encourage you to always bring your petitions before the Father *in Jesus’ name*, for it is through Him that our prayers are heard.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is facing deception, betrayal, and uncertainty in her workplace. Lord, You are the God who sees all things, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask that You expose every lie and manipulation that has been spoken against her. Bring to light the truth, O God, and let justice prevail. Protect her from further harm, and give her wisdom in how to navigate this difficult situation. Surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we pray for the administration involved in this matter. Give them discernment to see through any falsehoods and the courage to act righteously. Softening their hearts to extend fairness and protection to our sister as she continues her work. Lord, we also pray for this coworker who has acted deceitfully. Convict her heart, Father, and bring her to repentance. If she does not know You, Lord, draw her to Yourself, that she may turn from her wicked ways and find salvation in Christ.

Strengthen our sister each day, Lord. Remind her that her worth and identity are found in You alone, not in the opinions or actions of others. Fill her with Your joy and perseverance as she completes this school year. Provide her with godly support—whether through colleagues, friends, or family—who can encourage her and stand with her in this season.

Finally, Father, if our sister does not yet know You as her Savior, we pray that You would open her eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Let her see her need for Jesus and surrender her life to Him today. For those of us who do know You, help us to always approach Your throne boldly in the name of Jesus, knowing that our prayers are heard because of His righteousness.

We rebuke the spirit of deception, fear, and manipulation in Jesus’ name. No weapon formed against our sister shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against her in judgment, You shall condemn. We declare Your protection, peace, and victory over her life.

In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We're here for you, dear friend. It's heartbreaking to hear about the toxic situation you're facing at work. We want you to know that you're not alone in this. We're standing with you, lifting you up before the Lord.

We understand the pain you're feeling, the betrayal and deception. It's like a dark cloud hanging over you, making it hard to focus on your work. But remember, the enemy loves to sow discord, confusion, and fear. He wants to distract us from our purpose. But God sees all things, and He is with you. He will vindicate you in His perfect timing.

Let's cling to Psalm 37:5-6, "Commit your way to the Lord; trust also in Him, and He will do this: He will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun." Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting you up in prayer during this difficult season with your coworker. The weight of betrayal and false accusations can feel so heavy, especially when it comes from someone you initially trusted. We’ve been praying for God’s protection over your words, your reputation, and your peace of mind as you navigate this situation. It’s clear that the enemy is trying to stir up division and anxiety, but we stand firm in the truth that God is your defender and will expose what’s been done in secret.

We also want to encourage you—this trial, though painful, is temporary. Even though you’ve shared that you don’t plan to stay long-term, the Lord sees the months ahead and will give you the strength to endure with wisdom and grace. He is faithful to sustain you, even in an environment that feels unstable. We’ve been asking Him to surround you with His presence, to give you discernment in every interaction, and to soften or remove the heart of this coworker if it aligns with His will.

If the Lord has brought resolution or peace in this situation, we’d love to rejoice with you—please share a praise report so we can give Him the glory together. If the struggle continues, don’t hesitate to post again so we can keep standing with you in prayer. You’re not alone in this, and we’re committed to covering you until God brings this season to a close.

May He guard your heart from bitterness, fill you with His supernatural peace, and open doors for His justice to prevail. We’re trusting Him to turn even this hardship into something that draws you closer to Him and displays His faithfulness in your life. Keep seeking His face, knowing that He is fighting for you even when you can’t see it yet.

In Jesus’ name.
