Touching His Garment

In Mark 5:24-34 and Luke 842-48 When the woman with the issue of blood touched the garment of our Lord Jesus Christ, she must have been so amazed at his Healing Power. I mean she was a victim of this disease for 12 years, she was rejected, declared unclean not for several days like the other women were, she was unclean for years, her medical bills left her broke, she must have had very low self esteem, she must have been depressed, and due to her illness she must have been seriously anemic, bad eyesight, weak body, and mind, she probably could not sleep and felt she would die any day, and with the loss of blood she may have been very open to infections and in those days it must have been very rough for her! she probably didn't have any friends, or if she had maybe they would not want to be seen with her publicly. She was not allowed to go to temple, she couldn't even go to worship the Lord

For someone like her to have the courage to even go near a crowd to get close to Jesus, she had to have faith! She must have been so desperate to be near him, because she knew he would be the answer to all her troubles, he would be the one to set her free from her illness and isolation, he was her only chance at deliverance! When she touched his garment, she was healed, and Jesus felt it, when he asked his disciples "who touched my clothes?" I think he wanted her to stop being afraid and he wanted the crowd to know that she was healed, she no longer had to walk in shame and she no longer had her illness, she was set free and everyone was going to know! Jesus said “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering”, This woman was desperate, she was alone, she suffered, she was in pain, but she had faith in the Lord and she sought Him desperately and he acknowledged her. If the Son set you Free you are Free Indeed! John 8:34. She knew if only she touched his garment she would be healed! hallelujah in her suffering she had amazing faith in the Lord! I pray for us all to have such faith in Jesus Christ, to hold onto Him Our Savior no matter the circumstance, In Jesus Name Amen!!!
