Too Much

Beloved of All
Long story short, my mum ### thinks that my dad did something bad to her money, again; hope she is wrong about it, as now she is after my money. I hope she doesn’t go through my money, but I think she is going after it. Hope no one besides myself, goes through my money until the ###. My family wants a puppy; I like dogs, but bad idea, considering my parents are getting older; my dad ### is sick, my mum’s mental health is getting worse, and so on. We are out of town, don’t know if I will return home, due my mum’s threats and things going wrong. If I do return home, hope not be forced to take my room apart; worry about more important things like possible water damage. Hope my dad ### gets better soon. Hope my mum’s mental health, will be less severe, soon. She is hard to take, and she slapped me today; okay I was a moron, but I don’t know if I deserved it or not. Hope I can use the facility, that doesn’t require a garbage can or worse.

We hear the weight you are carrying right now and we are lifting you up together before the Lord in prayer. There is so much uncertainty in your situation with your mum and dad, with your finances, your home, and even the question of a puppy, and we want to bring each of these burdens to God who sees you and cares for you deeply.

We understand your concern about your money and your mum going after it, and the suspicion between your mum and dad about finances. The Lord calls us to be honest and faithful stewards in all matters of money. Proverbs 21:5 reminds us that the plans of the diligent surely lead to profit and Proverbs 12:22 says lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh. We pray that truth will prevail in your family regarding finances, that what is yours will be protected, and that you will have wisdom to set healthy and clear boundaries while still honoring your parents. We encourage you, if possible, to keep your finances separate and secure, and to seek wise counsel from a trusted pastor or counselor or financial advisor about how to protect what God has entrusted to you. God calls us to honor our father and mother as written in Exodus 20:12 and Ephesians 6:2, but honoring does not mean allowing yourself to be taken advantage of financially or to live under threats.

We also hear your heart for your dad who is sick and your mum whose mental health is getting worse. We join you in praying for his healing and for her peace of mind. Psalm 147:3 tells us He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds and Isaiah 41:10 reminds us to not be afraid for I am with you. We pray for your dad's physical strength to be restored and for your mum to receive the help and support she needs, and for you to have grace and patience as you walk through this difficult season with them. The idea of adding a puppy right now does sound unwise given your parents age and health and being out of town, and we pray God gives your whole family wisdom and unity in that decision. James 1:5 says if any of you lacks wisdom let him ask of God who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given to him.

You mentioned your mum slapped you today and that you wonder if you deserved it. Even when we act foolishly, as we all do at times, God does not desire for parents to respond in anger or violence. Ephesians 6:4 says Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord and Colossians 3:21 says Fathers, do not provoke your children so that they will not be discouraged. While we are called to respect our parents, it is not right for you to be hit, and we encourage you to forgive as Colossians 3:13 teaches, but also to seek safety. If threats and physical harm continue, please reach out to a trusted family member, pastor, counselor, or appropriate help in your area so you are not facing this alone. The Lord wants you to be safe.

We also hear your anxiety about not knowing if you will return home, about your room being taken apart, about possible water damage, and about having access to a proper facility. These are real and practical worries. We are praying for stable and safe housing for you, for protection over your home, and for your daily needs to be met. 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all your worries on him because he cares for you and Philippians 4:6-7 tells us In nothing be anxious but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Matthew 6:33 reminds us to seek first Gods Kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well.

We notice your request does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and can be saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him I am the way the truth and the life no one comes to the Father except through me and Acts 4:12 says there is salvation in none other for neither is there any other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved. We encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, to confess your sins and believe that He died and rose again for you, for He alone can bring true peace and restoration to you and your family.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus. We ask for Your protection over their finances and their home, for truth and honesty to reign in their family, and for provision for every need. We pray for healing for their dad and for comfort and stability for their mum, that You would bring peace to her mind and connect her with proper care. We ask for safety and wisdom for our friend who is out of town and feeling threatened, and that You would provide a safe place to stay and access to the facilities they need. Give them discernment about the puppy and about returning home, and guard their heart from fear about their room and water damage. Help them to honor their parents while also setting healthy boundaries, and help them to forgive and to find support if harm continues. Fill them with Your peace that passes understanding and draw them closer to Jesus. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to keep seeking the Lord daily, to stay connected to a local Bible believing church, and to not walk through this alone. God is with you and He will guide you step by step. Romans 8:28 reminds us that we know that all things work together for good for those who love God to those who are called according to his purpose.

We are grateful you reached out when so much feels heavy at once. Worrying about your money, your dad being sick, your mum's mental health getting worse and her threats, not knowing if it is safe to return home, plus concerns about your room and possible water damage is a lot to carry while you are out of town. Being slapped today must have been frightening and confusing. Even if you feel you acted like a moron, being hit is not deserved and it is not your fault.

While you are still away, it can help to think through safety before deciding about going home. Is there one trusted adult, pastor, counselor, or support worker you can talk with honestly about the slap and the threats and what a safe next step would be? If you do consider returning, try not to go alone and keep important papers and money as secure as you can. For your dad's illness and your mum's health, a doctor or counselor alongside prayer can offer care and guidance that we cannot from a distance.

Father, we lift this person to You in Jesus' name. Please provide safety, a stable place to stay, and kind, wise people nearby to help practically. Bring care for dad, support for mum, and peace and clarity in each decision ahead. Remind them they are seen, valued, and not alone. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Your heart has carried a heavy load and we have heard the many cares you poured out before the Lord. There is much weighing upon you at once, concern for your money and your home, concern for your father in his sickness, concern for your mother in her distress of mind, and the unsettled question of where you will be and whether you will have peace and safety there.

We bring all of these things to the great Physician, of whom it is written that the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. Not only His fruit but the very leaves, the least things about Christ, are full of healing virtue. He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and He is able to change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. We pray that you will know His healing in every part of this trial, healing for your father’s body, healing for your mother’s mind, and healing for your own heart where you have been wounded and afraid.

The Lord says, Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God. Fear not is a word that grows plentifully in God’s garden, and it is Christ Himself who whispers it to His poor servants. Fear is weakening and it dishonors the arm which piled the heavens, yet the Lord knows how many fears press upon you now, fears about provision, about your room and your home and possible water damage, about threats that make you unsure whether you can return, about being struck this day. We pray the Lord will chase away fear with His promise, I will help you, and give you a sound mind and a calm trust as you look to Him.

We pray for your father that the Lord in mercy would restore him and give skill to those who care for him, and that whether in sickness or health he and all your household would look to Jesus alone for salvation. We pray for your mother that the Lord would have compassion upon her in her mental suffering, calm her spirit, restrain what is harsh and harmful, and bring her into steadiness and peace. We ask the Lord to protect you from harm and to give you wisdom to seek safety and godly counsel close at hand if threats or violence continue. No child of God is forgotten when wrong is done to them, and while we are called to honor father and mother, we are also called to walk in wisdom and to seek help from faithful pastors, family or authorities when we are not safe. If you were struck today, we grieve that you suffered it, and we pray you will not carry false guilt as though you must deserve such treatment. The Lord sees and He is both just and merciful, and He can give grace to forgive and grace to set right boundaries.

We pray also for the practical burdens you named. For your money and the anxiety that another might go through it, we ask the Lord to guard what He has entrusted to you and to give you prudence and peace until the time you mentioned. For your home while you are out of town, for the worry about your room being taken apart and about water damage, we ask the Lord to keep that place and to provide for you a safe dwelling and access to needful facilities without shame or hardship. For the question of a puppy, we pray for wisdom for your whole family to count the cost well, to act as good stewards considering your parents’ age and health and strength, and to choose what is truly kind and sustainable.

May the Sun of Righteousness arise upon you with healing in His wings, and may pardon and healing be joined together for you as they were when Jesus said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. Come to Him with every sin and every sorrow, for He is the conduit Head from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will keep you, provide for you, give you a quiet place to live and rest, restore your father, lift your mother’s darkness, and let you know that you are not alone. May He put His fear in your heart in the holy and tender sense, and keep you close to Himself, and give you grace for each day as it comes.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your honesty in sharing so much that is weighing on you is heard, and I have brought your burdens before the Lord in prayer.

There is a great deal pressing on you at once, concern over money and whether it will be respected, worry about your dad's sickness, your mum's declining mental health, tension at home that has even led to being struck, uncertainty about whether to return home, and practical worries about your room, possible water damage, and having a suitable facility to use. It is understandable to feel overwhelmed when so many things are unsettled at the same time.

I have prayed for you and for your parents. I asked God to bring healing to your dad according to His mercy, to bring stability and help for your mum's mind and emotions, and to give you safety, peace, and wisdom. Scripture shows us that God is able to restore health fully and to give mercy to those who are weary and afflicted, and He invites us to cast our anxieties on Him because He cares for us. I prayed that He would guard your finances and give you discretion in stewarding what He has entrusted to you, that He would give your family clear wisdom about a puppy and other responsibilities that would add strain while your parents are aging and unwell, and that He would provide a safe and dignified place for you to stay and for your daily needs to be met without fear or hardship.

In these circumstances it is wise to seek steady, godly counsel and practical help close by. If you feel unsafe because of threats or physical harm at home, please reach out promptly to a trusted pastor, counselor, or other mature believer, and if you are in immediate danger please contact local authorities or a trusted family member who can help you find safe shelter. No one should have to endure being struck, and even when we recognize our own faults, violence is not the right response. The Lord calls us to honor our parents and to seek peace, and He also calls parents to love and care for their children without harshness. Speaking with a pastor or Christian counselor can help you discern next steps about returning home, boundaries around your money and your room, and how to address the water damage and other household concerns in a calm and orderly way.

For the practical matters, continue to be faithful with what you have, keep clear records of your own resources, and make decisions about additional burdens like a pet only with careful thought and agreement about who will provide daily care. If you are away from home now, use this time to pray, seek counsel, and consider a plan for your return that protects your wellbeing and allows for honest conversation with your parents, perhaps with a mediator present.

May the Lord grant you rest, protection, and guidance in the days ahead, and may He work in your family to bring healing, understanding, and a quieter spirit to your home. I will continue to pray that you will know His presence, that your dad will experience improvement in health, that your mum will receive the help and support she needs, and that you will have a safe place to live and the provision you need each day.

If you are able, stay connected to a local church where you can receive ongoing prayer, pastoral care, and practical support, and do not hesitate to ask for help from those God has placed near you.

Your honest sharing shows how heavy this season feels, and I am grateful you reached out. There is a lot pressing on you at once, concern about money, concern about your dad's health, concern about your mum's mental health, questions about where you will live, and the hurt of being struck. All of this can create deep fear and confusion, and I want to bring each part before the Lord with you.

God invites us to turn our deep desires for our family into steady prayer. Scripture gives the example of a man who prayed for years for a child and did not give up, and God heard him. In the same way, your longings to see your dad restored to health, to see your mum experience more stability and peace, and to see your home become safer are right things to keep bringing to God again and again. He hears persistent prayer. The gospel itself is good news of peace, that through Jesus we can have peace with God, and from that peace we can find a steadier peace within ourselves even when the world around us is filled with conflict.

I also want to speak gently about the fear and the hurt you described. It is understandable to feel afraid when there are threats about money or about where you will live, and when you are worried about practical matters like water damage or having to take your room apart or having access to a proper bathroom facility. Fear is a powerful enemy of faith. When we forget the Lord's presence, fear grows. When we remember that the Lord is with us and is our helper, faith can grow and fear can lessen. That does not mean we ignore real dangers or act recklessly. It means we do what is wise and prudent without being driven only by panic. If you feel unsafe because of threats or because you were slapped, please reach out right away to a trusted person near you, a family member, a pastor, a counselor, or another safe adult, and if you are in immediate danger please contact local help or emergency services. Even if you feel you acted foolishly, that does not make it right for someone to strike you. God places high value on each person and He grieves when a child or any person is harmed. Hurting those who are vulnerable is wrong.

You mentioned your mum's mental health getting worse and your dad being sick. The Lord has great compassion for the sick and He has power to heal. In the life of Jesus we see His mercy toward those who were ill and suffering, and we know that in His kingdom there will be no sickness or infirmity. We can ask Him now for healing and for help, and we can also seek wise medical and counseling support for your parents while we pray. For your mum, ongoing care and support from professionals and from other trusted people is important, and for your dad, continued medical care is important. Pray for them, and encourage them toward help when you can.

For the family questions about money and about getting a puppy, God's design for the family is to build it up through what is good and to protect it from what tears it down. That includes handling money with honesty and care, and making decisions together with wisdom about what the household can truly carry. With your parents getting older and facing health struggles, it is wise to consider whether adding a puppy would be a blessing or an added burden that could be hard to carry well. Ask the Lord for reverence for Him that leads to wisdom. The beginning of wisdom is a respectful awe of God that loves what He loves and turns from what is harmful, including pride and harsh speech. As you seek Him, ask Him to guide you to love what is good, to speak and act with kindness, and to hate what is destructive.

I am praying for you in these specific ways, that God would guard what is yours and give you wisdom in handling finances, that He would provide a safe and stable place for you to live with dignity and with access to the basic facilities you need, that He would protect your home from damage and give clear direction about your room and your belongings, that He would bring healing to your dad and greater stability and peace to your mum, and that He would comfort you after being hurt and give you wise counselors around you who can walk with you closely. I am also praying that instead of reacting only from fear, you will be able to remember the Lord's nearness, trust Him, and take calm, wise steps.

You do not have to carry all of this alone. Keep bringing every concern to Jesus in prayer, keep seeking safe and wise people to help you in person, and trust that the Lord sees you, cares for you, and is able to give peace and guidance even in a very unsettled time.
