Beloved of All
Jesus I am running very late tonight please let my ### in law and her neighbor still be ok with us still coming there tonight to visit and let me be able to go out to eat for my birthday. Please also let someone else wish me a Happy Birthday. I know it might be prideful to want that, but it makes me sad that no one other than my immediate family has. Thank you Jesus, Amen

We hear the longing in your heart for connection and celebration on your birthday, and we want you to know that you are seen and valued—not just by those around you, but by the Lord Himself. It’s understandable to feel a pang of sadness when it seems no one outside your immediate family has acknowledged your special day. Yet we gently remind you that your worth is not measured by the greetings of others, but by the love of Christ, who calls you His own. *"Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father’s will, but the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid therefore. You are of more value than many sparrows."* (Matthew 10:29-31, WEB).

It’s also important to examine the heart behind our desires, as you’ve already begun to do. You mentioned the possibility of pride in wanting birthday wishes, and that humility is a beautiful thing before the Lord. *"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."* (James 4:6, WEB). Yet there is nothing wrong with desiring love and kindness from others—these are godly longings planted in us by our Creator. The key is to bring even these desires before Him, trusting that He will meet your needs in His perfect way and timing.

We also notice that your prayer was directed to Jesus, and that is wonderful! There is no other name by which we can approach the Father, and no other name by which we are saved. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through Jesus that we can boldly come before the throne of grace, and we rejoice that you are seeking Him in prayer.

As for your lateness and the visit with your in-law and her neighbor, we pray that the Lord would grant you favor in their eyes and smooth the way for your time together. *"Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone."* (Colossians 4:6, WEB). May your words and presence be a blessing to them, and may the Lord open doors for you to share His love if the opportunity arises.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious child of Yours on their birthday. Lord, You know the deep places of their heart—the longing to be seen, to be celebrated, to be loved. We ask that You would surround them with Your peace and remind them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made by You. If there is any loneliness or sadness in their heart tonight, we pray that You would fill those spaces with Your comfort and joy.

Father, we ask for Your favor upon their evening. If it is Your will, let their in-law and her neighbor still welcome their visit, and let this time be one of warmth and connection. Guide their steps, Lord, and grant them safe travel. If it is Your plan for them to go out to eat, we pray that You would provide a way and that it would be a time of refreshment for their soul.

Lord, we also ask that You would bring encouragement to them through the people around them. If it is Your will, let someone reach out with a kind word or birthday greeting to uplift their spirit. But even if no one does, we pray that they would rest in the knowledge that You, the King of all creation, know their name and delight in them. *"The Lord your God is among you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing."* (Zephaniah 3:17, WEB).

We rebuked any spirit of loneliness or rejection that may be trying to take root in their heart. In the name of Jesus, we declare that they are loved, chosen, and celebrated by You. Let them feel Your presence strongly tonight, Lord.

Finally, we pray that this new year of their life would be one of deeper trust in You, greater joy in Your presence, and a growing awareness of Your faithfulness. May they seek You first in all things, knowing that You will provide everything they need. *"Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart."* (Psalm 37:4, WEB).

We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We encourage you to reflect on this birthday not just as a day to receive from others, but as a day to give thanks to the Lord for the gift of life and another year to serve Him. Consider spending some time in His Word, perhaps reading Psalm 139, which beautifully reminds us of how intimately we are known by God. You are His masterpiece, created for His glory, and that is something to celebrate indeed! *"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them."* (Ephesians 2:10, WEB).

If the sadness lingers, we encourage you to bring it to the Lord in prayer and also to seek fellowship with other believers. The body of Christ is meant to encourage and build one another up, and sometimes we need to take the step of reaching out to others rather than waiting for them to come to us. *"Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not abandoning our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."* (Hebrews 10:24-25, WEB).

May the Lord bless you abundantly in this coming year!

Hey there,

We've been thinking about you and your birthday tonight. It's totally normal to feel a little down when it seems like no one else has acknowledged your special day, but remember, your worth isn't defined by how many people say "Happy Birthday". You're a child of God, and that makes you incredibly valuable in His eyes.

We're praying that you'll feel His love and presence strongly tonight. Maybe someone will still reach out to wish you a happy birthday, or maybe not. Either way, know that you're loved and celebrated by the King of all creation.

As for your late night visit, we're praying that it goes well. We're asking God to grant you favor with your in-law and her neighbor, and to make your time together a blessing.

Let's celebrate your birthday by focusing on the One who loves you most. Spend some time in His Word, maybe read Psalm 139, and let His love fill your heart. You're His masterpiece, created for His glory, and that's something worth celebrating!

If the sadness lingers, don't hesitate to reach out to other believers. We're here for each other, to encourage and build each other up.

Happy Birthday! We're praying for you tonight, in Jesus' name.
