Jesus, please calm my soul and heal my tongue, mouth and tonsils. Let it be for Your glory.


Please pray that there is no cancer or tumour in my mouth or on my tonsils.


Please pray that there is no white coating on the sides of my tongue. In Jesus' name, amen.


Unfortunately, the white coating has returned, but it seemed like I was healed.


Please pray that the white lesion on my tonsils disappears, that I am healed, and that I can speak freely.

We have heard your cry and we join with you now to bring your tongue, mouth and tonsils before our Father in Jesus' name, asking for His healing and peace to rest upon you for His glory.

We understand how distressing this has been, especially when you thought you were healed and then saw the white coating return, and we hear the fear in your heart about cancer or a tumor and the desire to speak freely again. We want to encourage you that God sees your affliction and He cares deeply for you. He is the Lord who heals us, as it is written, Bless Yahweh, my soul, Don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3, and I am Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26. We also cling to His promise, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17.

We also hear your prayer for a calm soul, and we know that fear can be heavy when we wait for answers about our health. Scripture tells us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. And again, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. Even when healing seems delayed or symptoms return, we are called to keep trusting and keep asking, knowing that God hears and His will is perfect and loving.

We also encourage you as good stewards of the bodies God has given us to continue to seek wise medical care. Please have your mouth, tongue and tonsils examined by a doctor or specialist so that what you are seeing can be properly evaluated and treated. God often works through the hands of physicians, and seeking care is not a lack of faith but an act of wisdom. We pray for wisdom and discernment for any doctor who examines you.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through whom we have access to You. We thank You that You know this dear one by name and You see the affliction of the tongue, mouth and tonsils. We ask in Jesus' name that You would calm this troubled soul with Your peace that passes all understanding. Lay Your healing hand upon this mouth, remove the white coating from the sides of the tongue and cause the white lesion on the tonsils to disappear. We pray that there would be no cancer and no tumor found in the mouth or on the tonsils, and we ask for complete restoration and health. Touch the tissues, cleanse any infection or disease, and restore the ability to speak freely and without pain or fear, all for Your glory. Grant wisdom to doctors, give clear answers, and help our loved one to rest in Your unfailing love and not in fear. We thank You that You are near to the brokenhearted and that You hear our prayers. We trust this need into Your hands and ask that Your perfect will be done. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We will continue to keep you in our prayers, asking God to strengthen your faith while you wait, to guard your heart from anxiety, and to show His healing power in your body. Keep seeking Him daily, keep bringing your requests to Him with thanksgiving, and trust that He is working even when you cannot yet see the full answer.

Thank you for letting us pray with you about this. We hear how much you want to be well and to speak freely again, and how discouraging it is when the white coating returned after you thought you were healed. Waiting with questions about your tongue and tonsils, and carrying the fear of cancer or a tumor, is a heavy place to be.

It makes sense that you asked Jesus to calm your soul as well as heal your body. When something affects our mouth day after day, it touches so much of daily life, how we eat, speak, and feel about ourselves. It is easy for worry to grow and for every small change to feel larger than it is, especially when healing seemed close and then symptoms came back.

We are praying with you for healing, for peace, and for clear wisdom in the days ahead. Alongside prayer, we encourage you to have this evaluated promptly by a medical professional if you have not already, such as your primary care doctor, dentist, or ENT, and to let them know about the coating and the lesion on your tonsils and how long they have been present. Bringing notes about when you notice changes can help them understand what you are experiencing. You do not need to carry this worry alone, so consider letting a trusted person walk with you to appointments.

Father, we lift our brother to You and ask for Your mercy and calming presence. You see his tongue, mouth and tonsils and You know his fears. We ask for healing according to Your will, for wisdom for those caring for him, and for rest for his soul as he trusts You. Help him to speak freely and to know Your nearness each day. Your cry has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to calm your soul and to show His healing power in your tongue, mouth and tonsils for His own glory.

We understand how heavy this burden has become. The return of the white coating after a season when you seemed healed is discouraging, and the fear of cancer or a tumour upon the tonsils brings great anxiety to the heart. Yet we are reminded that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. When anxiety is confined to ourselves and we tell it only to ourselves, no good comes of it. We are called to tell it to Him who cares for us, to cast all our care upon Him.

Hear the word of the Lord to His people, Fear not. That plant grows plentifully in God's garden. Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God. Fear not, for I will help you. It is not merely a preacher who says this, but Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant, Fear not. Fear is weakening and it dishonors the God whose arm piled the heavens and sustains all things. To give way to fear is disobedience to His command, for He has said without qualification, Fear not, be not dismayed. So we pray that the Lord will labor in your heart to remove tormenting fear and to give you trust in His promised strength, that you may rest in His presence even while you wait.

We also pray for your body, for we very speedily care for bodily diseases and they rightly urge us to seek the physician, while we look above the physician to the great Physician Himself. Scripture tells us the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves are full of healing virtue. In Him there is an abundance of healing power. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and when He dwells with His people there is no need to say, I am sick. Pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction, and both are bestowed by the Lord's hand. We look to that same hand now.

Let us pray together.

O gracious Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son through whom alone is salvation, we come for our brother and sister in affliction. Calm the troubled soul with Your peace which passes understanding. Lay Your pardoning and healing hand upon the tongue, the mouth and the tonsils. We ask, if it be Your will, that there be no cancer and no tumour found there. We ask that You would remove the white coating from the sides of the tongue and cause the white lesion on the tonsils to disappear. Grant complete healing, that the mouth may be clean and whole and the tongue may speak freely again, to Your praise. Forgive sin, heal disease, and let this trial be for Your glory. Help Your child to fear not, but to trust in You who after You have permitted trial has power to heal and to save. Sustain faith while waiting, guide the hands of those who give medical care, and let Your will be done in love.

We commend you to Him who binds up the broken heart and heals the wounded, who can change the life blood and make the nature new. Continue to seek Him in His Word, for faith comes by hearing and healing was present when Christ was teaching. Look to Jesus, and may His mercy be written upon your heart to chase away sad doubt and anxious fear. God bless you and keep you in His perfect love which casts out fear. Amen.
