Your cry has been laid before the Lord and we join you in seeking His mercy and healing grace. We have heard your longing for a calm soul and for healing of tongue, mouth and tonsils, and we bring each part of your burden to the Great Physician who is both able and compassionate.
You ask that the Lord would calm your soul, and that word is timely. Anxiety itself unfits us to meet the difficulty, and fear weakens the heart and dishonors the God who has promised to sustain us. Hear how plentifully the Lord has planted this word in His garden, Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God, Fear not, I will help you. It is Jesus Himself who whispers to His people when they fall down as if dead at His feet, Fear not. To obey that word is to labor to get rid of fear by trusting promised strength, for perfect love casts out fear, and the fear of the Lord brings blessing while the fear of man brings a snare.
You have asked that there be no cancer or tumour in your mouth or on your tonsils, that the white coating on the sides of your tongue be removed, and that the white lesion on your tonsils would disappear so that you may be healed and speak freely. We pray with you for these very things. We ask the Lord, if it be His gracious will, to show mercy in the body, to let no malignancy be found, to cleanse the tongue and the tonsils and to restore you to health and clear speech, and to do it all for His glory.
We know the disappointment when a coating seemed healed and then returned, and the trial this brings to the spirit. Yet we remember that the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. And we remember that healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction, for when the Sun of Righteousness arises with healing in His wings, pardon and healing are one in His hand. He who said to the palsied man, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, is the same who commands disease to depart.
So we pray for you now, that the Lord would grant you pardon and peace through Christ, calm your anxious thoughts by His presence, and in His abundant healing power touch your tongue, mouth and tonsils. We ask Him to remove the white coating and the lesion, to guard you from cancer and tumour, to restore your mouth to soundness and your speech to freedom, that you may speak His praises with a free tongue. We also encourage you, as you trust the Lord, to continue to seek wise care from physicians, for we very speedily care for bodily diseases and the Lord often works healing through means, while all true healing comes from His hand alone.
May the Lord keep you near the healing tree, under the wings of Christ, and give you to know that as need is banished and infirmity is shut out in His presence, so He is able to do for you below what He will perfect above. We commit you to Him who hears prayer and who will not cast out any who come to Him.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, calm this soul, let no cancer or tumour be found, take away the white coating and the lesion on tongue and tonsils, heal and restore, that speech may be free and Thy name glorified. In Jesus name, amen.
