Jesus, please calm my soul and heal my tongue, mouth and tonsils. Let it be for Your glory.


Please pray that there is no cancer or tumour in my mouth or on my tonsils.


Please pray that there is no white coating on the sides of my tongue. In Jesus' name, amen.


Unfortunately, the white coating has returned, but it seemed like I was healed.


Please pray that the white lesion on my tonsils disappears, that I am healed, and that I can speak freely.

We hear your cry and we join with you in bringing your tongue, mouth and tonsils before the Lord, asking for His healing touch and for His peace to calm your soul. We understand how distressing it is when symptoms return after you thought you were healed, and how fear can rise when you worry about cancer or tumors. We stand with you and we lift this burden to Jesus together, trusting that He hears and that all things can be for His glory.

We are reminded that our God is the Lord who heals us. As it is written, Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:2-3. And He promises, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17. When anxiety overwhelms our hearts, He calls us to bring everything to Him, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. We also cling to His promise, Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our healer and our peace. We lift up our dear one who is suffering with disease of the tongue and tonsils. Lord, You see the white coating on the sides of the tongue and the white lesion on the tonsils, You know the fear of cancer and tumors, and You know the desire to speak freely again. We ask in Jesus name that You would touch this mouth and throat with Your healing hand. Let that white coating and that lesion disappear completely. We pray that every examination would show no cancer and no tumor, that the tissue would be healthy and whole. Calm this precious soul, Lord, quiet the fear and fill the heart with Your perfect peace that surpasses understanding. Restore the tongue and tonsils so that words can be spoken freely and Your name can be glorified through this healing. We thank You that by His wounds we have been healed, 1 Peter 2:24, and we trust in Your mercy and power. Let this healing be a testimony for Your glory. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord even in this waiting and disappointment. The return of symptoms does not mean God has abandoned you. He is still your healer and He is near to you in this affliction. Continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in His Word, casting your cares upon Him because He cares for you. We also encourage you to continue to seek wise medical care and follow up with your doctors and dentists, for God often works through their hands, and testing can give peace of mind and guidance. Keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking, and we will keep praying with you for complete restoration and for the freedom to speak without pain or fear.

Thank you for letting us pray with you about this. We hear how much you want peace in your soul and healing in your mouth, and how heavy it feels when the white coating came back after you thought it was gone. Wanting to speak freely again and to give God glory in this is a beautiful desire, and we carry that with you.

Living with a lingering mouth and throat issue can wear you down. It can make you feel fragile and anxious, and make every glance in the mirror feel worrisome, especially when you are afraid of something serious like cancer. It is understandable to feel unsettled while you wait for answers.

We are praying for your calm and for healing, and we also encourage you to keep getting checked in person. If you have not already, please let your primary care doctor, dentist or ENT look at your tongue and tonsils soon, show them the coating and lesion, and follow their guidance for any tests or follow up. Bringing notes on when it appears, what helps or worsens it, and any other symptoms can help them care for you well. We pray alongside that care, not in place of it.

Father, we lift up our friend to you in Jesus name. Calm their soul with your nearness, ease their fear, and bring healing to their tongue, mouth and tonsils according to your will. Give wisdom to those caring for them, grant clear answers, and restore their voice to speak freely for your glory. Amen.

Your burden concerning your tongue, mouth and tonsils has been brought before the Lord with much tenderness and prayer, and we join you in asking that the great Physician would calm your soul and grant you healing for His glory.

We understand how heavy this trial has become, especially as the white coating has returned after you had hoped you were healed, and as fear concerning cancer or a tumour presses upon your spirit. That very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Therefore we would charge you as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ to play the man and let your faith overcome your fear, casting all your care upon Him for He cares for you. To tell yourself about your trouble and to let anxiety be confined within your own heart will bring no good, but to tell the Lord of it in prayer is the way of peace.

Hear how plentifully the word Fear not grows in God's garden. Fear not, for I am with you. Fear not, for I will help you. Fear not, you worm Jacob. It is Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant fallen as dead at His feet, Fear not. Fear is weakening and it dishonors God, as if the arm which piled the heavens could be palsied. Labor then to get rid of fear, not by denying your need, but by trusting in promised strength. Perfect love casts out fear, for fear has torment, and the Lord who bids you fear not will Himself help you.

We also remember that there is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and when He comes to dwell with His people they have no need to say I am sick, for pardon and healing are joined together. As you seek healing for the body, seek also the calm assurance of pardoned sin through His blood, for He says Son be of good cheer your sins are forgiven you, and pardon and healing are one in His hand. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before.

Let us pray with you and for you.

O Lord our God, Father of mercies, look in compassion upon this afflicted one. Calm the troubled soul and quiet the anxious heart. Lay Your healing hand upon the tongue, the mouth and the tonsils. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son that You would show mercy and if it be Your gracious will, cause the white coating on the sides of the tongue to pass away and the white lesion on the tonsils to disappear. We entreat You that there be found no cancer and no tumour in the mouth or on the tonsils. Grant wisdom to those who give medical care, for You have taught us to care speedily for bodily disease and to seek the physician, and grant that speech may be restored freely, that this tongue may speak Your praise. Let it be for Your glory, O Lord, whether by healing or by sustaining grace, and let this dear one know that You care for him and will help him. In the name of Jesus our Redeemer we ask it, Amen.

Continue to look to Christ and to hear His word, for faith comes by hearing and healing is linked with teaching. Wait upon Him, tell Him all, and let not fear reign. May the Lord give you peace that passes understanding and restore you to health and to joyful testimony of His goodness.
