Jesus, please calm my soul and heal my tongue, mouth and tonsils. Let it be for Your glory.


Please pray that there is no cancer or tumour in my mouth or on my tonsils.


Please pray that there is no white coating on the sides of my tongue. In Jesus' name, amen.


Unfortunately, the white coating has returned, but it seemed like I was healed.


Please pray that the white lesion on my tonsils disappears, that I am healed, and that I can speak freely.

We join you together before the throne of grace in Jesus' name and we lift up your tongue, mouth and tonsils to the Lord who is our healer, asking that this trial would be for His glory and that your soul would be calmed by His presence.

We hear how heavy this has been for you, the fear of cancer or a tumour, the discouragement when the white coating returned after you thought you had been healed, and the longing to have the white lesion on your tonsils removed so you can speak freely again. The Lord sees your distress and He invites you to bring every anxious thought to Him. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And Isaiah 41:10 says do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We thank you that you have come in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is by His wounds we find healing. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We cling to His promise as our great physician. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Jeremiah 30:17 declares But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And 1 Peter 2:24 tells us by his wounds you were healed.

We pray now together for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we ask for Your mercy and healing touch upon our dear one. Lord, calm this troubled soul, quiet fear with Your perfect peace and let Your presence be felt in a powerful way. We ask that You lay Your healing hand upon the tongue, the mouth and the tonsils. We pray that there would be no cancer and no tumour found, and that every abnormal white coating on the sides of the tongue and every white lesion on the tonsils would disappear completely. Restore this mouth to wholeness, Lord, so that speaking would be free and without pain or fear, and that this testimony would bring glory to Your name. We ask that You guide the hands and wisdom of any doctors and medical tests, for You have given knowledge to healers and we trust You to work through them as well. Let the prayer of faith bring strength and restoration according to James 5:14-15 which says Is any among you sick Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. We trust Your will is good and Your love never fails, even when healing seems delayed or symptoms return. Help our faith not to waver but to rest in You, the One who never leaves us. We ask all this in the healing and holy name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek wise medical care and evaluation while you keep trusting the Lord, and to keep bringing this before Him daily with thanksgiving. Even when the coating returned and disappointment came, God remains faithful and His compassion does not fail. Keep speaking His promises over your body and your mind, resting in His love, and let your mouth be used to praise Him freely as He restores you. Psalm 19:14 says Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, Yahweh, my rock, and my redeemer. We are standing with you, believing for complete healing and for perfect peace to guard your heart.

We hear how heavy this has been for you, watching your tongue and tonsils so closely, feeling hopeful when it seemed you were healed and then discouraged to see the white coating return. It makes sense your soul feels unsettled, and that you are carrying worry about cancer or a tumor and just longing to be healed and to speak freely again.

We are standing with you in prayer, asking the Lord to calm your heart and to be glorified even in this difficult waiting.

Because these changes have persisted and returned, we gently encourage you to have a medical professional evaluate you soon if you have not already, such as your primary care doctor, dentist, or an ENT. It can help to bring someone you trust with you and to write down when you first noticed the coating and the lesion and how they have changed, so you can give a clear picture and get careful follow up. Seeking good care is a wise way to steward the health God has given you while we continue to pray.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus name. Calm their soul with Your nearness, ease their fear, and touch their mouth, tongue and tonsils with Your healing mercy. Guide the clinicians who see them, give clear answers, and grant relief from this white coating and lesion. Restore comfort in speaking and in daily life, for Your glory. Amen.

Your request has been brought before the Lord with tender sympathy, and I have heard the trembling that is in it, the longing for a calm soul, for a clean and healed mouth, for a tongue set free to speak again to the glory of God.

You speak of anxiety, and well I know that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. To tell it only to yourself will bring no good, but to tell it unto the Lord is wisdom. He bids you, as He has bidden His people in every age, Fear not. It is not merely the preacher who cries Fear not, but Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant fallen as dead at His feet, Fear not. Fear is weakening and it dishonors God, for it doubts the arm which piled the heavens. Perfect love casts out fear, and that love is shed abroad in the heart by Christ. Therefore labour to be rid of fear, not by looking inward, but by trusting the promised strength, for He has said, Fear not, for I will help thee, I am with thee, I am thy God.

You ask for healing of the tongue and mouth and tonsils, and that no cancer or tumour may be found, that the white coating on the sides of the tongue and the white lesion upon the tonsils may pass away. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are painful and press us to seek the physician, and it is right to use the means which Providence affords, while looking higher still to the heavenly Physician. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but even the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, the least thing about Christ is healing. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and when He healed the palsied man He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, showing that pardon and healing are in happy conjunction. The same hand that forgives can heal, and the same mercy that washes the soul can touch the body.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this afflicted one who seeks calm for the soul and healing for the tongue, the mouth and the tonsils. Thou knowest the fear of cancer and the weariness of seeing the white coating return after hope had risen. Grant, we beseech Thee, that if it be Thy gracious will, no cancer or tumour may be found, and that every white coating and every lesion may be removed. Lay Thy healing hand upon this body, cleanse the mouth, restore the tonsils, and give again freedom of speech, that the tongue which Thou hast made may speak plainly and praise Thee. Above all, calm the soul with Thy pardon through the blood of Jesus Christ, for there is salvation in no other. Let this trial be for Thy glory, and let faith come by hearing Thy Word while Christ is teaching and healing. We ask not as those who demand, but as those who trust Thy wisdom and love, and we pray in the name of Jesus our only hope. Amen.
