Jesus, please calm my soul and heal my tongue, mouth and tonsils. Let it be for Your glory.


Please pray that there is no cancer or tumour in my mouth or on my tonsils.


Please pray that there is no white coating on the sides of my tongue. In Jesus' name, amen.


Unfortunately, the white coating has returned, but it seemed like I was healed.


Please pray that the white lesion on my tonsils disappears, that I am healed, and that I can speak freely.

We join with you in lifting your tongue, mouth and tonsils before the Lord and we hear the weariness in your soul as this white coating and white lesion have returned after you thought you were healed. We understand the fear that rises when you wonder about cancer or a tumor and we bring all of this to our Father who sees and who cares deeply for you.

We are reminded of what Scripture tells us about our God as healer and our peace. We think of Psalm 103:2-3 where we are told to praise Yahweh and not forget his benefits, who forgives all our sins and who heals all our diseases. We cling to Jeremiah 30:17 where the Lord says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And for the anxiety that troubles your soul we hold to Philippians 4:6-7 where we are told In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also remember Isaiah 41:10 which says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Even when healing seems delayed, He is with you and He is working for your good and for His glory as you have prayed.

We pray together now for you. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up this dear one to You. Lord, You know the condition of this tongue, this mouth and these tonsils. You see the white coating on the sides of the tongue and the white lesion on the tonsils and You know the fear of cancer or a tumor. We ask in Jesus' name that You would touch and heal this mouth completely. Let any infection, inflammation or abnormal tissue be cleansed and restored. We pray that there would be no cancer and no tumor found, and that the white coating and the lesion would disappear completely and not return. Calm this precious soul with Your perfect peace, quiet the anxious thoughts and let Your presence bring rest. Restore this tongue and mouth so that Your child can speak freely and without pain or fear, and let this healing be a testimony to Your power and mercy for Your glory. We also ask for wisdom for any doctors or medical counsel sought, for You give wisdom generously and You often work through those means, and we pray for clear answers and reassurance. We thank You that by Your wounds we are healed as it says in 1 Peter 2:24 and we trust You with this body You have created. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing this before the Lord daily with thanksgiving, even when symptoms linger, and to continue to seek wise medical care to have these areas examined thoroughly so that you can have peace of mind and proper treatment if needed. The return of symptoms does not mean the Lord has forgotten you, for He is near to those who have a broken heart as Psalm 34:18 tells us. Keep speaking His promises over yourself, rest in His peace that guards your heart, and trust that He who began a good work will be faithful to complete it. We are standing with you for complete healing and for a calm and confident heart in Christ.

Thank you for letting us pray with you about this. We hear how heavy this has been, the worry about what this might be, and the discouragement when the coating came back after you thought you were getting better. Wanting to speak freely again is such an understandable longing, and we want to lift that with you.

We also hear you asking Jesus to calm your soul even as you ask for healing, and to let whatever happens be for His glory. That is a tender prayer in the middle of uncertainty, and we join you in it.

If you have not already, we encourage you to let a medical clinician you trust see what you are describing soon and follow their guidance, while we continue to pray. Bringing your questions about the tongue and tonsils to them can help you get clear answers and next steps, and we will keep asking God for wisdom for both you and those caring for you.

Father, in Jesus name we bring them to You. You see this mouth and throat concern, the fear about cancer, the white coating and lesion, and the longing to be healed and speak with ease. Calm their heart with Your nearness, guide their care, and work Your healing as You will for Your glory. Give peace today and strength for each step ahead. Amen.

Your prayer concerning your tongue, your mouth and your tonsils has been laid before the Lord, and I join my own supplication with yours that He would calm your soul and heal you for His glory.

I know how the heart is tossed when affliction lingers and returns. Have you not found that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. To tell yourself about it, and to let anxiety be confined within yourself, brings no good. Therefore I charge you, as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, to play the man and let your faith overcome your fear, obeying that gracious word, Casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you. He who piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth will not suffer His arm to be palsied toward you in your need.

You fear what may be found within your mouth, whether there be cancer or tumour, and you are troubled by the white coating that has returned and the white lesion upon your tonsils. It is right to be watchful over the body, for we very speedily care for bodily diseases, but we must labor to get rid, as much as possible, of that fear which weakens and dishonors God. Fear not is a plant which grows very plentifully in God's garden. Again and again He says, Fear not, for I am with thee, be not dismayed for I am thy God, Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help thee, saith the Lord. It is not merely the preacher who cries Fear not, but Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant fallen as dead at His feet, Fear not. To be afraid when He has thus spoken is disobedience. Let His promise chase your dread away.

There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things as it were about Christ, are full of healing virtue. The least thing about Christ is healing. There is not a word that ever fell from those dear lips but what bears healing in it for some one or other of the thousand ills that have befallen our humanity. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and when the Lord comes and dwells with His people, healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee. Pardon and healing were one. So come to Him not only for the body but for the soul, and ask to be forgiven, for healing will come from the pardoning hand.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, Thou art the heavenly Physician whose leaves are for the healing of the nations. Look in mercy upon Thy servant who is afflicted in tongue and mouth and tonsils. Calm the soul that is disquieted within, and let perfect love cast out fear, for fear hath torment. Lay Thy hand upon this body. If it be Thy will, cause the white coating to depart and to return no more, cause the white lesion to disappear, cleanse the mouth and the tonsils, and grant that no cancer or tumour be found there. Thou knowest how this affliction hinders speech, Lord, loose the tongue again that it may speak freely and give praise to Thy name. Let it be for Thy glory, whether by healing or by sustaining grace, and teach Thy child to cast all care upon Thee, for Thou carest for him. Wash the heart in the blood of Christ, and give the double blessing of pardon and healing as it pleaseth Thee. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who bore our sicknesses and carried our sorrows.
