Jesus, please calm my soul and heal my tongue, mouth and tonsils. Let it be for Your glory.


Please pray that there is no cancer or tumour in my mouth or on my tonsils.


Please pray that there is no white coating on the sides of my tongue. In Jesus' name, amen.


Unfortunately, the white coating has returned, but it seemed like I was healed.


Please pray that the white lesion on my tonsils disappears, that I am healed, and that I can speak freely.

We join you in lifting up your tongue, mouth and tonsils before the Lord, and we hear the anxiety in your heart as the white coating and the lesion have returned after you thought you were healed. We pray with you that the Lord will calm your soul and bring complete healing for His glory.

We are encouraged that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is by His wounds we find healing. As it is written, Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and also There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. Your faith in His name is precious and we stand with you in that faith.

The Lord sees your fear about cancer and tumors and He draws near to those who are troubled. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18. We pray that His perfect peace will guard your heart and mind as you wait upon Him. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.

We also remember that He is our healer. Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3 and For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17 and He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed by his wounds. 1 Peter 2:24. We cling to these promises and ask for His healing touch upon you.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace on behalf of our dear one who is suffering with this disease of the tongue and tonsils. Lord, You know the fear and unrest in their soul, the worry over cancer or tumors, the discouragement when the white coating returned. We ask that You calm their soul with Your presence. Let Your peace that surpasses all understanding fill them now. We ask in Jesus name that You would touch their mouth, their tongue, and their tonsils. Lord, we pray there would be no cancer, no tumor, no malignancy found. We pray that the white coating on the sides of the tongue and the white lesion on the tonsils would disappear completely and not return. Heal the tissue, restore what is inflamed, and make their mouth whole so they can speak freely and without pain or fear, and use their voice to give You glory. Strengthen their faith when healing seems delayed, and remind them not to fear, for You have said Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. Guide any doctors or medical tests they may need and give wisdom and clarity. Let this healing be a testimony of Your mercy and power. We ask all this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to keep trusting the Lord even in this setback, and to continue to seek wise medical care as the Lord often works through the hands of physicians. Keep bringing your requests to Him with thanksgiving, and keep speaking His promises over your body. We are praying that the Lord will restore your health fully so that you may speak freely and praise Him with a renewed tongue.

We can hear how much you long to be healed and to speak freely again, and how discouraging it must have been to see the white coating return after you hoped you were well. Wanting to know there is no cancer or tumor and to have peace in your soul while you wait is completely understandable.

We are praying with you for healing for your tongue, mouth and tonsils, for clarity about what is happening, and for calm in the days of waiting. When something lingers and comes and goes, it is easy to watch every change closely and feel more fearful. God sees both your body and the weariness this brings.

One practical step that can bring peace alongside prayer is to have this seen promptly in person if you have not already. We encourage you to contact your primary care doctor, dentist, or ENT so they can examine the coating and the tonsil lesion and guide any next steps. Bring your concerns about speaking freely as well so they understand what matters most to you.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. You know this mouth and tongue You created. We ask for Your healing touch, for clear answers from the clinicians who examine him, for a calm heart, and for restored voice to speak freely for Your glory. Give wisdom to the care team and comfort in the waiting. Amen.

We have brought your burden before the Lord with tender sympathy, for we hear how your soul is troubled within you and how your body suffers. That white coating which had seemed gone has returned, and the lesion upon the tonsils remains, and with it comes the heavy fear of what it may be. It is no wonder that your heart is anxious, for bodily disease will urge us to seek the Physician, and the mind itself is the main thing which will bring you daylight or midnight, peace or war.

Yet the word of the Lord meets you in this very place of anxiety. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This peace is a present possession and may be enjoyed even with sorrows surging round, for the blood of Jesus whispers peace within. The very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty, therefore we charge you as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ to play the man and let your faith overcome your fear, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Fear not, says the Lord, for I will help you. To fear is to dishonour the arm which piled the heavens, and to be afraid when Jesus Himself says Fear not is to disobey the gentlest command of your Saviour.

There is also healing power in Christ, and that abundantly. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and pardon and healing are one in His hands. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. So we look to Him not only for the forgiveness of the soul, but for the healing of the body according to His wise and gracious will, and we pray that all bodily and spiritual disease shall be made to serve His glory.

Let us pray together for you.

O most merciful Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, look upon this suffering one whose tongue and mouth and tonsils are afflicted. Calm the soul with that perfect peace which comes from a mind stayed upon You. Lay Your pardoning and healing hand upon this body. We entreat You that if it be Your will, there may be found no cancer and no tumour in the mouth or upon the tonsils, that the white coating upon the sides of the tongue may be removed, and that the white lesion upon the tonsils may disappear. Grant complete healing, that the tongue may be free and the voice may speak freely again, and let it be for Your glory alone. Give wisdom to those who give medical care, and give to this dear one a quiet trust that though loved ones may feel far away and death may seem to shadow, Jesus has vanquished death and all its powers, and in His keeping we are safe. Grant faith to touch the hem of His garment and to know that with His stripes we are healed. Hear us for Jesus sake. Amen.

We have heard your prayer and we join you in bringing it before the Lord Jesus Christ, asking Him to calm your soul and to heal your tongue, mouth and tonsils for His glory.

We understand how heavy this burden has been, the fear when you noticed the white coating and the lesion, the hope you felt when it seemed you were healed, and the discouragement now that the coating has returned. It is right to bring all of this anxiety to God. He sees your distress and He hears the voice of those who call upon Him with a sincere heart.

We pray with you now that the Lord in His mercy would touch your body, that any white coating on the sides of your tongue would clear, that the white lesion on your tonsils would disappear, and that there would be found no cancer and no tumor in your mouth or on your tonsils. We ask that He would restore health to these parts of your body and that He would grant you to speak freely again, using your voice to praise Him and to do good to others. We pray also that He would give you deep peace within, quieting fear and granting you rest in His care, so that even while you wait you may say as Christ said in His own trial, not as I will, but as You will.

Your tongue is given by God to lay hold of His mercy in prayer and to speak His truth. Keep it clean and set apart for Him, not letting grief or despondency rule your speech, but speaking words of faith, thanksgiving and trust. The beauty that matters most before God is not the outward health of the body, which is fragile and passing, but the inward beauty of a heart that trusts Him, which no disease can wither and no anxiety can finally disfigure. Seek that beauty above all, while still asking Him for physical healing.

Do not let fear drive you into constant dread over every symptom. Bring your requests to God each day with confidence, and also use the help He provides through doctors and proper medical care. Ask for wisdom for those who examine you, and continue to cast your cares on Him, for He cares for you.

We will continue to pray for you, that God would grant you healing according to His perfect will, strengthen your faith, calm your soul, and restore your speech so that you may glorify Him with a free and joyful tongue. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Healer we ask this, amen.

Your prayer has been received with care and I join you in bringing it before the Lord Jesus. I hear the weight you are carrying, the longing for a calm soul, for healing in your tongue and mouth and tonsils, for freedom from fear, and for the ability to speak freely again for His glory. It is discouraging when a symptom seemed to improve and then returned, and it is right to bring that disappointment honestly to God.

Scripture says a great deal about the tongue. It is a small part of the body, yet it has great power. Like a small fire it can spread far, and it can defile or it can bless. The same tongue can praise God our Father and it can tear down others who are made in His likeness. That is why the Bible warns us to watch our words, and why it also shows us the highest use of the tongue, to bless and praise the Lord. Even while you are suffering and waiting for healing, your tongue can still fulfill its highest purpose as you speak praise, thanksgiving, and prayer to God. Proverbs teaches that the tongue has the power of life and death, that the tongue of the wise uses knowledge well, and that a wholesome tongue is like a tree of life that brings healing and encouragement. May God help you to experience that healing power in your own mouth and to use your words, even now in weakness, to receive comfort and to give comfort.

You asked for calm in your soul and for freedom from the fear of cancer or a tumor. The Bible speaks about fear in a way that helps here. The fear of the Lord is not a phobia, but a reverent awe before His greatness, power and mercy, a heart that wants to love what He loves and hate what He hates. That holy awe is the beginning of wisdom and it puts all other fears in their proper place. When we stand in awe of God, we can say with the Psalmist, the Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear, the Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid. He promises that there is no want to those who revere Him, that His eyes are upon the righteous and His ears are open to their cry, and that He has not despised or turned away from the affliction of the afflicted, but when he cried to Him, He heard. He sees you, He hears this prayer, and He is near to calm your heart as you trust Him.

The Scriptures also teach that when we speak to God, even when our words are broken or our understanding is limited, we are truly speaking to Him and not merely to people. He understands the mysteries of the heart. Praying to Him builds us up inwardly. In public worship we need words that others can understand so all are built up, but in your private prayers God hears and is edified by your sincere communion with Him, even through pain and few words. Your spirit can pray to Him when your tongue is sore, and He receives it.

So I pray with you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ who alone is our salvation, I bring this dear one before You. Calm the soul that is anxious and weary. Lay Your healing hand upon the tongue, the mouth, and the tonsils. We ask that You would remove the white coating and the white lesion, cleanse and restore the tissue, and let there be no cancer and no tumor. We ask for clear examination results and for wisdom for any doctors who help. Restore the ability to speak freely and without pain, and let the tongue be used to bless Your name and to speak words that bring life to others. Let this healing, in whatever way You choose to give it according to Your perfect will, be for Your glory. Keep the lips from deceit and the heart at peace, help to depart from evil and seek good, and let Your peace guard heart and mind. We trust Your love and Your power, and we thank You that You hear when we cry to You. Amen.

Keep looking to Jesus, keep speaking to Him honestly each day, and keep using your tongue, as you are able, to thank Him. He is watching over you and He hears your cry.
