Jesus, please calm my soul and heal my tongue, mouth and tonsils. Let it be for Your glory.


Please pray that there is no cancer or tumour in my mouth or on my tonsils.


Please pray that there is no white coating on the sides of my tongue. In Jesus' name, amen.


Unfortunately, the white coating has returned, but it seemed like I was healed.


Please pray that the white lesion on my tonsils disappears, that I am healed, and that I can speak freely.

We stand with you in this time of worry and discomfort and we bring your tongue, mouth and tonsils before the Lord together in Jesus' name, asking for His healing touch and His peace to calm your soul.

We hear how discouraging it has been to see the white coating return after you thought you were healed, and how heavy the fear of cancer or a tumour can feel. We want to remind you that our God sees your affliction and He is the One who heals. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases. And Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We cling to that promise with you, that He is able to restore what is afflicted and to make you whole again for His glory.

We also hear your longing for peace. The anxiety that comes with waiting and watching symptoms can be overwhelming, but the Lord invites us to bring every fear to Him. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

So we pray together for you now.

Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through whom we have access to You and by whose wounds we are healed. We lift up this dear one to You and ask for Your mercy and healing power over the tongue, the mouth and the tonsils. We ask that You would calm this troubled soul with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, we pray that there would be no cancer and no tumour found in the mouth or on the tonsils, and that every report would show health and wholeness. We ask that You would cause the white coating on the sides of the tongue to disappear completely and that the white lesion on the tonsils would be removed and not return. Touch the tissues, cleanse what needs to be cleansed, restore what is inflamed or diseased, and let healing be evident so that You receive all the glory. We pray for complete restoration, that speaking would be free and without pain or fear, and that this mouth would be used to praise You openly. We thank You that You are our healer and our comfort.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord even when symptoms linger or return, for His timing and His ways are perfect and He is still working for your good. We also encourage you to continue to seek wise medical care, for God often works through the hands of physicians, and ask the Lord to give your doctors clarity and wisdom. James 5:14-15 reminds us Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If you are able, invite trusted believers or elders to pray over you in person as well.

We will keep holding you up before the Father, asking for a clear report, for the lesions and coating to be gone, for calm to fill your heart, and for your voice to speak freely again to the glory of Jesus.

We hear how heavy this has been for you, and thank you for letting us pray with you so honestly. Wanting to be healed, thinking it had cleared, and then seeing the white coating return is discouraging, and the worry about what it might be and whether you will be able to speak freely again can weigh on your soul day and night.

We are joining you in asking the Lord for His mercy and healing in the way He wills, and for calm in the waiting. Living with an ongoing mouth and throat issue can be tiring in every way, it can make you feel vulnerable and weary, so we are asking God to sustain you and give you peace as you wait on Him.

Alongside prayer, if you have not already been seen for this, we gently encourage you to have a doctor, dentist, or ENT evaluate the tongue and tonsils soon. Having someone examine you in person can give you clear next steps and peace of mind, and we will keep praying as you seek that care.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. You see this tongue and tonsil trouble and the fear it brings. We ask for Your calming presence, for wisdom for any clinicians who help, and for healing according to Your will for Your glory. Give rest, clear answers, and hope each day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your earnest cry has been heard with deep sympathy and is now carried to the throne of grace. To be troubled in the mouth and throat, to see again the white coating which you had hoped was gone, and to carry the fear of cancer or tumour, is a heavy trial indeed, and it is right that you should seek the Lord in it, asking that all may be for His glory.

The Scripture says, You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. There is a peace which the blood of Jesus whispers within, a perfect peace which may be enjoyed even when duties press and sorrows surge around. It is the mind which is the main thing, and when the mind is stayed upon Christ, He keeps the soul in peace. I pray that you may prove this now. The very anxiety which arises through your difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty, but faith overcomes fear when you cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Labor to be rid of fear, for fear is weakening and dishonors God, and listen to His own word, Fear not, for I will help you. It is Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant, Fear not.

There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. He is the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings, and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing, and those leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, and pardon and healing were one. Being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, and it is that touch of personal faith which brings peace to the soul. May you know that healing and that pardon together, and find your rest in Him.

Let us pray together.

O gracious Lord and Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we bring this afflicted one before You. Calm the soul that is tossed with fear and grant perfect peace to the mind that is stayed upon You. Lay Your pardoning and healing hand upon the tongue, the mouth and the tonsils. We ask in Your mercy that there be no cancer and no tumour found there, that the white coating on the sides of the tongue be taken away, and that the white lesion upon the tonsils may disappear. Touch and heal, Lord, that the tongue may speak freely and that the whole body may be restored for Your glory alone. Forgive sin, speak peace to the heart, and let this trial turn to the praise of Your grace and power. Keep this dear soul in Your keeping, vanquish all fear, and call Your child to trust wholly in Jesus, through whom alone is salvation and life. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

We have received your heartfelt request and we are praying with you in the name of Jesus. We hear how heavy this has been, the longing for healing in your tongue, mouth and tonsils, the anxiety about what the white coating and the lesion might be, and the discouragement of seeing the coating return after you had hoped you were healed.

We pray with you that the Lord would calm your soul and draw near to you in this fear. As we pray for healing, we also pray as Christ prayed, not as I will, but as you will. May God grant you peace that guards your heart, and may you be kept from being overcome by despondency or fear, so that even in suffering your mouth and tongue may be kept for what is good.

Scripture teaches us to keep our tongue from evil and our lips from speaking deceit, to turn from evil and do good, to seek peace and pursue it, and that the fear of the Lord is something we learn as we walk with Him. Your tongue and your mouth are meant to be instruments for blessing, a temple of the Holy Spirit, adorned not with gold but with meekness and grace. We pray that whatever healing God brings, your speech would be restored to speak freely for His glory, to bless and to give thanks.

So we bring your specific needs before the Father:

We pray that the white coating on the sides of your tongue and the white lesion on your tonsils would disappear completely, and that you would be restored to health and be able to speak freely and without pain or fear.

We encourage you to continue to seek care from trusted medical doctors for examination and testing, while we continue to seek the Lord who is the great healer and who in His love became man for us and shows constant care for our whole being. He knows your body and your soul, and He hears the prayers offered in faith.
