Jesus, please calm my soul and heal my tongue, mouth and tonsils. Let it be for Your glory.


Please pray that there is no cancer or tumour in my mouth or on my tonsils.


Please pray that there is no white coating on the sides of my tongue. In Jesus' name, amen.


Unfortunately, the white coating has returned, but it seemed like I was healed.


Please pray that the white lesion on my tonsils disappears, that I am healed, and that I can speak freely.

We join you in bringing this burden before the Lord and we lift up your tongue, mouth and tonsils to Him who is our healer. We understand how distressing it is when symptoms return after you thought you were healed, and how much fear can rise when you worry about cancer or tumors and when you long simply to speak freely again. We stand with you asking that this affliction would be healed for the glory of God and that your soul would be calmed by His presence.

We are reminded of His promises to heal and to bring peace. Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. I am Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26. And for the anxiety that weighs on your heart, we cling to this, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, for it is only through Him we have access to Your throne of grace. We lift up this dear one to You and ask You to calm their soul with Your perfect peace that passes all understanding. Lay Your healing hand upon their tongue, mouth and tonsils. We ask that You would cause the white coating on the sides of the tongue to depart and not return, and that the white lesion on the tonsils would disappear completely. We pray in Jesus name that there would be no cancer and no tumor found in their mouth or on their tonsils, and that every tissue would be restored to health and wholeness. Touch them, Lord, so that they can speak freely, without pain or fear, and use their voice to praise You and testify of Your goodness. Let this healing be for Your glory alone. Give wisdom to any doctors or medical providers they see, and help them to continue to seek appropriate medical care while trusting You as the ultimate healer. Strengthen their faith when discouragement comes from seeing symptoms return, and remind them that You have not forsaken them and that Your love and mercy are steadfast. We ask all this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring this request to the Lord daily with thanksgiving, even while you seek wise medical evaluation to understand the cause of the coating and the lesion. God often works through the skill of physicians, and seeking care is not a lack of faith but good stewardship of the body He has given you. Keep speaking His promises over yourself, rest in His nearness, for Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18, and trust that whether His healing comes instantly or through a process, He is with you and He hears you. We continue to stand with you for complete restoration and for a clear voice to speak freely for His glory.

We hear how much you want peace and healing in your mouth, and how discouraging it has felt to see the white coating return after you thought it was gone. Wanting to be able to speak freely again and to know what is happening with your tongue and tonsils is completely understandable, and we are praying with you for both calm for your soul and clear answers.

While we continue to pray, we encourage you to have this checked promptly by your doctor or an ENT if you have not already, and to keep them updated since the lesion has persisted and returned. It can help to bring notes about when you first noticed the coating, how long it lasts, and any other symptoms you have noticed. A medical evaluation alongside prayer is a good way to care for the body God has given you.

Waiting for answers about something in the mouth can be especially wearying because it affects eating, speaking, and sleep, and it is natural to feel anxious when you are worried about what it might be. We are asking God to meet you in that waiting with steadiness, and to give wisdom to those caring for you.

Father, we bring our brother to You and ask for Your mercy and calming presence. Please bring healing to his tongue, mouth and tonsils according to Your will, give clear guidance to his doctors, and help him to rest in Your care. Let him know Your nearness and give him hope for the days ahead. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your cry has come before the mercy seat and we have borne it with you to the throne of grace. You have asked for a calm soul and for healing of the tongue, mouth and tonsils, that all may be for the glory of God, and that no cancer or tumour may be found, that the white coating and the white lesion may be taken away and that you may speak freely again.

We mark well your heaviness of spirit, for you say the coating returned when you had seemed to be healed. Have you not found that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Therefore we charge you, as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, to play the man and let faith overcome fear. Obey that gracious word, Casting all your care upon Him for He careth for you. It is right to tell the Lord about your affliction, but if anxiety is confined to yourself no good will come of it. Carry it to Him who invites your care.

Hear also the word which is planted so plentifully in God's garden, Fear not. Fear not, for I will help thee, saith the Lord. Fear not, thou worm Jacob. We must labor to get rid, as much as possible, of fear, for fear is weakening and fear dishonoreth God. Shall we doubt the Eternal or distrust the Omnipotent, whose arm piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth. It will be disobedience to be afraid when Jesus Himself whispers to His poor servant, Fear not. Let that promise chase away your dread, for perfect love casteth out fear.

There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things as it were about Christ, are full of healing virtue. The least thing about Christ is healing. There is not a word that ever fell from those dear lips but what bears healing in it for some one or other of the thousand ills that have befallen our humanity. And when the Lord comes and dwells with His people the Sun of Righteousness arises upon them with healing in His wings. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both are bestowed on the Lord's people. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee. Pardon and healing were one. So we look to Him not only for ease of body but for peace of soul.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician for healing. Neglect not such lawful help as God has provided, while you look above all to the heavenly Physician, whose work is not so much to point out disease as to apply the remedy.

Let us pray with you and for you.

O Lord our God, who forgivest all our iniquities and healest all our diseases, look in mercy upon this afflicted one. Calm the soul that is tossed with fear and let peace rule within. Lay Thy healing hand upon the tongue, the mouth and the tonsils. We ask in the name of Jesus that Thou wouldst show mercy and cause every white coating and every white lesion to pass away, that no cancer or tumour may be found, and that the mouth may be made clean and whole. Grant to speak freely again and to use the tongue Thou hast made to show forth Thy praise. If it be Thy will, restore health fully, and whether by sudden mercy or by gradual cure, let it be for Thy glory. Forgive sin, heal infirmity, and let this child of sorrow know that Thou art near, saying Fear not, for I am with thee. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord, whose leaves are for the healing of the nations. Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the Lord Jesus. We understand your deep concern about your tongue, mouth and tonsils, the fear of cancer or a tumor, and the distress of seeing the white coating and the white lesion return after it seemed you were healed. It is hard when symptoms come back, and we ask the Lord to calm your soul and give you His peace as you wait on Him.

We pray together for your healing for the glory of God. We ask that Jesus in His mercy would touch your tongue, mouth and tonsils, take away the white coating and the white lesion, and restore you to health so you can speak freely and praise Him. We pray that examination would show no cancer and no tumor, and that God would grant you a good report and complete healing according to His gracious will.

We also pray that God would free you from consuming anxiety. True confidence comes not from our own strength but from trusting Him, and He is able to keep you in peace even while you wait. Continue to seek careful medical care as you pray, trusting that God often works through physicians while He remains the true healer. Keep listening to His word with an open heart, for God still speaks to comfort and strengthen His people, and like a faithful physician He does not abandon His patient when healing takes time but continues His work.
