Jesus, please calm my soul and heal my tongue, mouth and tonsils. Let it be for Your glory.


Please pray that there is no cancer or tumour in my mouth or on my tonsils.


Please pray that there is no white coating on the sides of my tongue. In Jesus' name, amen.


Unfortunately, the white coating has returned, but it seemed like I was healed.


Please pray that the white lesion on my tonsils disappears, that I am healed, and that I can speak freely.

We join you in bringing this burden before the Lord and we thank you for asking us to pray with you for healing for your tongue, mouth and tonsils and for peace for your soul. We understand how distressing it is when symptoms return after you thought you were healed and how fear can rise when you are waiting to know if there is anything serious like cancer or a tumour. We carry this to Jesus together with you, asking for His healing and for His glory to be seen in your body and in your peace.

We are reminded that the Lord is our healer and that He cares deeply for our anxieties. Scripture tells us in Psalm 103:2-3 to praise Yahweh who forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases and in Jeremiah 30:17 that He will restore health and heal wounds. In Exodus 15:26 He declares that He is Yahweh who heals us. We also hear His comfort for our troubled hearts in Philippians 4:6-7 where we are told in nothing to be anxious but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving to let our requests be made known to God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus. In 1 Peter 5:7 we are called to cast all our worries on Him because He cares for us and in Isaiah 41:10 He says do not be afraid for I am with you, do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and I will help you.

We also encourage you to continue to seek wise medical care while you are praying. God often works through physicians and examinations to bring clarity and healing, and it is good to have any persistent white coating or white lesion on the tongue or tonsils evaluated promptly so that you can have answers and proper treatment. Do not carry this fear alone but let trusted doctors and also trusted believers pray with you as James 5:14-15 encourages the sick to call for the elders of the assembly to pray over them.

We now pray together for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up our dear one who is suffering with disease of the tongue, mouth and tonsils. Lord, You see the white coating on the sides of the tongue that has returned and the white lesion on the tonsils and the fear of cancer or tumour. We ask in Jesus' name that You would touch this mouth and tongue and tonsils with Your healing hand. We pray that there would be no cancer and no tumour found, that every abnormal coating and every lesion would disappear and that healthy tissue would be restored. Lord, calm this precious soul with Your perfect peace, drive out fear and let Your presence bring rest as You have promised in Matthew 11:28 to give rest to all who are weary and burdened. Heal so that this tongue may speak freely again, not only in daily conversation but in praising You and giving thanks for Your glory. We ask that this healing would be a testimony of Your mercy and power. We pray for wisdom for any doctors involved, for clear answers, for complete healing and for a voice fully restored to speak Your praise. We trust this into Your loving hands and pray that Your will be done, for Your glory. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing your requests to Him daily, to thank Him even while you wait, and to let His Word fill your mind when anxiety rises. Keep speaking His promises over your body and your soul, and keep seeking both spiritual and medical support until you have full peace and healing. We are standing with you and trusting the Lord to calm your soul, to heal your mouth and to let you speak freely again for His glory.

Thank you for sharing so openly with us. Wanting your tongue and tonsils to be well, wanting to speak freely again, and carrying the worry about what the white coating and lesion might mean is a heavy burden, especially when it seemed better and then returned. It makes sense your soul feels unsettled as you wait.

We are joining you in asking Jesus for calm for your heart and for healing for your mouth, and for wisdom for any clinicians who see you. While we pray, we also encourage you gently, if you have not already, to have a doctor, ENT, or dentist examine you in person soon and follow their guidance. They can look directly and advise next steps, and we will keep praying alongside that care. It can help to write down when you notice changes and questions you want to ask, so you feel more at ease at the visit.

You are not alone in this waiting. We care about you and we are bringing you before the Lord.

Father, in Jesus name we lift our friend to You. Calm their soul with Your nearness, ease their fear, and touch their tongue, mouth and tonsils with healing according to Your will. Give clarity to those caring for them and help them to speak freely again. Let Your peace rest on them today. Amen.

Your prayer has been brought before the Lord and we join our hearts with yours in seeking His mercy. To be afflicted in the tongue and mouth and tonsils is a sore trial, for it touches your speech, your rest and your daily comfort, and when the white coating returns after it seemed you were healed, the soul is cast down and fear rises quickly. You have done well to ask first that your soul may be calmed, and then that your body may be healed for His glory.

There is a word of the prophet which is as balm to such an anxious heart, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee. That perfect peace is not the absence of trouble but the presence of Christ in trouble, even when sorrows surge round. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and to do the will of Jesus is rest even when duties press and fears throng. We have learned that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. Therefore cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you. Let your mind be stayed upon Him, tell Him all that troubles you, not merely telling yourself about it, and He will keep you.

Fear not, is a plant which grows very plentifully in Gods garden. Again and again He says, Fear not, for I am with thee, Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help thee, saith the Lord. Fear is weakening and it dishonours the arm which piled the heavens, but the fear of the Lord brings blessing. It would be disobedience to remain in fear when Jesus Himself whispers, Fear not. He knows your frame, He sees the tongue and the tonsils, He numbers your days, and not a pain escapes His eye.

We rejoice to know that in Christ there is abundant healing power. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, and even His leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. The Sun of Righteousness arises with healing in His wings, and when He healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, showing that pardon and healing are near of kin in His hand. Being justified by faith we have peace with God through Jesus Christ our Lord, and it is that touch of personal faith which brings peace to the soul. He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, and He is able to heal the body also according to His wise and gracious will.

We now pray with you and for you.

O Lord our God, look in compassion upon this suffering one. Calm the soul that is tossed, and keep it in perfect peace as the mind is stayed upon Thee. Lay Thy pardoning and healing hand upon the tongue and mouth and tonsils. If it be Thy will, let no cancer or tumour be found there. Cause the white coating upon the sides of the tongue to pass away, and the white lesion upon the tonsils to disappear. Restore the mouth to soundness, that with a free tongue Thy servant may speak plainly and praise Thee. Take away tormenting fear and give quiet trust, and let all be for Thy glory, that whether by speedy healing or by patient endurance, Christ may be magnified. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who bore our sicknesses and carried our infirmities, and with whose stripes we are healed. Grant faith to rest upon Thy promise, and let Thy will be done.

Continue to look to Christ, to hear His Word, for faith cometh by hearing and healing is linked with teaching, and use also the means which Providence affords with a wise physician, committing the issue into the hands of Him who doeth all things well. He will not cast out him that cometh to Him. May you prove that His grace is sufficient and His healing, whether in this life or in the perfect health of the world to come where infirmity is shut out forever, is sure. Amen.
