Tongue/tonsil disease

We have heard your prayer and we join you in bringing it before the Lord Jesus Christ, who alone is our healer and our salvation.

We pray that God will calm your soul in this time of fear and waiting. When anxiety rises and the mind is troubled, learn to speak as Christ spoke in His hour of fear, saying, Nevertheless not as I will, but as Thou wilt. May the Lord grant you peace that guards your heart, and help you to rest in His wise and loving will, whether He heals quickly or leads you through a longer trial for His glory.

We pray for your body, for your tongue, your mouth and your tonsils. We ask the Lord in His mercy to touch you and heal you, to remove the white coating from the sides of your tongue and to cause the white lesion on your tonsils to disappear. We ask that the examinations would show no cancer and no tumor, and that you would be restored to health so that you can speak freely and without pain. We ask this not only for your comfort, but that your healing and your voice may be for His glory.

Scripture reminds us that the tongue is the hand with which we lay hold of the knees of God in prayer, and that life and death are in its power. Let us keep that tongue clean and use it to give thanks, to confess Christ, and to speak what is good and holy. Even as we pray for healing of the body, we remember that earthly health is fragile and quickly fades, while the beauty of a soul made clean in Christ remains and never withers. Therefore we pray most of all that you would be strengthened in faith, cleansed from all sin through repentance and trust in Jesus alone, and made whole in Him for eternity.

We encourage you to continue to seek wise medical care and to follow the counsel of your doctors, while looking to Christ as the true source of healing. Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, have mercy on this your servant. Calm the fear, quiet the soul, forgive sins, and if it be Your will, grant complete healing to the mouth and tonsils. Take away what is diseased, let no malignancy be found, and restore clear speech that this tongue may praise You. We trust Your goodness and Your power. Amen.

Your request has been heard and I am joining you in prayer before the Lord for healing and for peace in your heart.

I am praying that the Lord in His mercy would touch your tongue, your mouth and your tonsils, and bring complete healing for His glory. I am asking Him that there would be no cancer or tumor found, that the white coating on the sides of your tongue would be gone, and that the white lesion on your tonsils would disappear. I understand how discouraging it is when symptoms return after you thought you were healed, and I am asking God to bring lasting restoration so that you can speak freely again.

The Scripture teaches that the tongue has great power, and that its highest and best use is to bless God and give Him praise. Your desire to speak freely again so you can praise Him and live for His glory is a good and right desire. Even when words are difficult or pain makes speaking hard, God hears the cry of your heart. When we do not have words, His Spirit understands the deep things within us as we come to Him.

I am also praying that Jesus will calm your soul with His peace. First we need peace with God, which comes only through the blood of Jesus who made peace for us on the cross and forgives our sins. Then we can know the peace of God within our hearts, the peace that passes all understanding. The Lord has promised to keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him. He is not the author of confusion but of peace, and He wants you to live in that peace even in the midst of this trial and uncertainty. As you keep your mind turned toward Him and trust Him to care for you, He will guard your heart and mind. His eyes are upon the righteous and His ear is open to their cry.

Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus I bring this dear one to You. You see the concern over the tongue and tonsils, the fear of cancer, and the distress over the white coating and the lesion that has returned. I ask for Your healing touch upon the mouth and throat. Let what is not whole be made whole. Remove what should not be there and restore health. Calm the troubled heart and fill it with Your perfect peace as trust is placed in You. Help the tongue to be used for what You created it for, to bless You, to speak encouragement and hope, and to declare Your praises. Give wisdom to any doctors involved, give strength for each day, and let all that happens be for Your glory. We trust You and ask this in the name of Jesus, amen.

Continue to keep your mind stayed on the Lord and seek Him daily. He is faithful and He hears you. Use the strength you have to bless Him and to speak words that build up and give hope, trusting Him to complete the work He has begun in you.

Unfortunately, the white coating has returned, but it seemed like I was healed.


Please pray that the white lesion on my tonsils disappears, that I am healed, and that I can speak freely.
